Vanessa Paradis is done playing it straight. The star's new curly hair made its red carpet debut on Valentine's Day as the French actress and singer attended Victoires de la Musique in Paris, France on Friday, Feb. 14.
Paradis, 41, looked stunning on stage in a custom black halter-neck Alexandre Vauthier gown with a high slit that showed off her long legs and toned shoulders and arms. Johnny Depp's ex finished the look with matching pumps and simple gold earrings. (The annual award ceremony honors outstanding achievement in the French music industry.)
Paradis first debuted her new short locks during a lunch date with hairstylist John Nollet in L.A. on Jan. 15. The pair looked friendly, as Paradis smiled on with her chestnut, curly 'do.
As previously reported, the dramatic makeover surfaced the same week news broke that her ex Depp had secretly gotten engaged to his Rum Diary costar Amber Heard, 27. Despite never marrying Depp, Paradis was not bitter about the situation. When the actor called to tell her the news, she "wished him happiness," an insider told Us of the friendly exes. "No drama." The source added: "She's happy."
Paradis and Depp, 50, announced their split after 14 years together in June 2012 and share daughter Lily-Rose, 14, and son Jack, 11. Paradis is currently dating French pop star Benjamin Biolay, 41.
