Michael JacksonBorn in 1958, Michael Jackson has had one of the most successful (and oddest) careers in the history of pop music. Getting his big break with his brothers in the late '60s as a member of the Jackson 5, the band went on to receive worldwide success with singles like "I'll be There" and "Ben." After embarking on a solo career, he hit it big in the '80s with singles "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" and shocked audiences with his trademark moonwalk dance moves. In the '90s, Jackson was accused of child sexual abuse and his changing appearance turned Jackson, and his bizarre relationships with exes Lisa Marie Presley and Brooke Shields, into one of the most mysterious and misunderstood stars of our time. Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009. He was rushed to UCLA Medical Center while in a deep coma after going into cardiac arrest at his L.A.-area home. |
