Angelina Jolie Criticized for Frail Appearance at 2012 Oscars

Angelina Jolie put her best foot forward -- literally! -- at Sunday's 84th Annual Academy Awards in L.A.
Wearing a custom Atelier Versace gown that featured a thigh-high slit, the 36-year-old actress oozed confidence on the red carpet. "I wanted to be comfortable and I feel sexy in black velvet," Jolie told Us Weekly.

While presenting the awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, the In the Land of Blood and Honey director struck a sultry pose onstage, which The Descendants screenwriter Jim Rash publicly mocked after his big win.

Jolie's over-the-top posing wasn't the only thing that stood out at the star-studded ceremony: her increasingly thin appearance became a topic of concern on Twitter. According to The Academy, Jolie's bony body ignited 3,399 tweets per minute.
"Dear Angelina Jolie. . .eat something," wrote singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee.

94Umm... I don't see supposed "blonde hair", that is to compete with Aniston. Looks brunette still, put glasses on girl and if so in your eyes, grow up. This is about Angie not Jen. Not competition with Jen, she already smoked her. Jen can't carry a movie on her own, never has. Angie signs for a movie and everyone wants to be in it, yet she is the main character. Not one Aniston has been in has Aniston been the main character because she doesn't selll. As I hear, Jen's next movie has Ben Stiller and Justin in it. She is begging to get into any movie that will help people forget her last one....can't even remember what it was...LOL!

I figure Angelina is a grown woman who is more than capable of making her own decisions. If she looks in the mirror and likes what she sees then more power to her!
She looks like she's wasting away, and that blonde hair does nothing with her pale skin. She looked better with black hair. Now, she looks like she's competing with Jennifer Aniston.
Eating disorders arent funny but word is she on some pills to stay skinny. And now posing was just silly...I really dont know how she stood up. Dealing with kids too, its just crazy ...wouldnt want to be her at all.

Mike Gardner, why do you assume that 3,399 females are obese to have a concern about Angelina's frail, extremely thin body?? You obviously are one of those males who needs "arm candy" to feel secure and masculine. This woman is sending the wrong message to all the young women who want to emulate her. She's a hands on parent. She has a busy life. You would be a stick too! Yes she is rich, famous, and has help when she needs it, but her and Brad have it under control.
This is bullying. May be a different form of bullying, but still bullying. It's her body - leave her alone. Goodness!
She looks disgusting. A horrible example for her children. I am sure that she is a good person but a really bad example for those young women that are looking up to her. Eat something, please. You will look much hotter with a ham sandwich in your hand.
