Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Get Married!

True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer wed Saturday evening at a private residence in Malibu, Calif., their rep confirms to UsMagazine.com. The couple were "surrounded by their family and friends," the rep adds in a statement. Guests -- many of them bearing gifts in purple boxes and with purple bows -- included Elijah Wood and True Blood costar Carrie Preston with husband Michael Emerson (Lost). Paquin, 28, and Moyer, 40, exchanged their vows beneath a tent across the street from the beach.

The couple announced their engagement last August. Connecting over daily breakfasts at a West Hollywood cafe, they began dating a few months after filming first began in 2008 for HBO's smash vampire series, now in its third season. On the show, Paquin (a 1994 Oscar-winner at age 11 for her role in The Piano) plays Sookie Stackhouse, the psychic, mortal lover to vampire Bill Compton (Moyer); their first kiss occurred onscreen.

But the duo waited until February 2009 to debut their real-life romance -- a delay that was "very intentional on both our parts," British actor Moyer explained at the time. "It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn't feel it was fickle....We didn't want to take anything away from the show."

Moyer proposed to Canadian-born, New Zealand-raised Paquin on a Hawaiian beach, presenting her with a ring -- a rustic diamond set in an antiqued platinum inset -- he helped design with jeweler Cathy Waterman. Why Hawaii? "There was a song in the first season, 'White Sandy Beach in Hawaii,' which was kind of funny and ironic," he told Access Hollywood last year. "[It] all started out as a joke and then we decided to go to Hawaii with my kids," says the actor, who has a son, Billy, and daughter, Lilac, from two previous relationships.

These days, Moyer splits his time between his native London and the Venice, Calif. home he shares with Paquin.
"With Anna it's just about pure trust, on camera and off," Moyer gushed in the July issue of Playboy. "I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna."
"I feel so lucky right now," Paquin says in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. "Life is pretty great."

100just a quick note: obviously the person who wrote the article doesn't watch 'TrueBlood', because they mentioned Anna's character is "psychic" which is false. She is telepathic. There's a difference. Amoung other things, which if you watch the show, you know what I mean. :) just sayin'.

I do think that Anna is a very pretty girl but has been captured in some unflattering pictures (not including this one). I do think she should worry about whether or not he can keep it together and stay committed to her. He definetly seems to have trouble staying in a long term relationship.

I think Anna is a very good actress, but I don't know that I would describe her as being very classy. Stephen Moyer was "attached" with a child when Anna met him and she took up with him anyway. That's not classy. I watch True Blood and find it funny at times, but it does go overboard with the sex scenes and it can have some dark, disturbing scenes. Mrs.Pfc.Boyd you asked how are they "dark and disturbed"? The storyline with Tara and Franklin involved rape, kidnapping and attempted murder - that's dark. The storyline with Marianne, who was cutting out the hearts of young women and feeding them to the people around her - again, dark. It's a show about vampires and werewolves, so it does deal with some dark, disturbing storylines.
It sounds like Stephen Moyer has a problem sticking with one person. I read that he left his girlfriend and mother of his child after 7 years when he met Anna. I'm disappointed in Anna that she would take up with someone who was already attached to someone else. Just more Hollywood homewreckers. If you're married or living with someone and you're unhappy, be honest with your partner and get out before you take up with someone else. At some point you cared for that person, so why humiliate them by cheating on them? You'd better watch it Anna - there are a lot of pretty actresses out there and you could become old news fast. Just curious and it has nothing to do with anything, but is he bisexual, too?

Congratulations to both of them. Nice to hear of news like this instead of self centered spoilt brats like Lohan and Hilton. Great series, that lead to this great couple who still believe in marriage and have dated for a couple of years first to know each other. Great role models.
I would never respect a man who had 2 kids with other women. Does this guy not know the meaning of committment??? I would never allow myself to date a guy who has kids with other women.
