Ashlee: Jessica Simpson "Is Happy" With Eric Johnson

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz approves of big sis Jessica's new football beau, Eric Johnson.
"She is happy, so we are all really happy," Ashlee, 25, told UsMagazine.com at the Neil Lane/Kay Jewelers party at Drai's Hollywood Thursday night.

"Her happiness is the most important thing to me," continued Ashlee, who was part of the group that flew to Italy to celebrate Jessica's 30th birthday earlier this month.
Ashlee says Jessica -- who began dating her still-married guy about six weeks ago -- isn't talking about having kids of her own.

"She does love being an aunt though. She is a great aunt," said Ashlee, who welcomed son Bronx Mowgli with husband Pete Wentz in November 2008. "Yesterday he was over at her house calling her 'Jess' [and then saying] 'ica' a few minutes later. It was really cute."
Ashlee, on the other hand, "definitely" wants to expand her brood.
"We would love to have a big family," she tells Us. As for how many kids she wants, she said, "You can never plan something like that."
Bronx is growing up quickly. "Every day is like a milestone, I swear. It is the best thing," said Ashlee. "I mean, being a mother, taking the time that I have taken off just to be with him has really been incredible. Every day he is learning something new and growing. It is fantastic. I feel very fortunate."

How do they spend time together? "We paint. He loves the water hose outside. That is always exciting, especially because it is extremely hot outside right now. We write on the walls with chalkboard and chalk," said Ashlee. "It is fun and it keeps you active because every day you're thinking, 'What are we going to do?' Even if it's just dancing in place. He is really cute. He is really becoming his own little man."
Even though dad is in the band Fall Out Boy, Ashlee is the one who sings to him. "He knows mama's voice because I sing for him all the time and we sing together," she said. "He knows the Elmo song; he sings that in the car, which is really cute."
His favorite music: "He loves Jay-Z. He says, 'Jay-Z ma ma.' So we do the ones without the swear words."

I hope Jessica IS happy. She deserves it. It seems like she has dated a string of guys, many who view her as a casual fling (different guys), as a booty call (john mayer), rherwise not taken seriously (tony romo dumped her on her bday). Hopefully, she gets treated right, and finds someone who she can stay with her long-term.
It devastated Jessica because she thought that Nick would be mopping around and crying about her, I think she wanted him to pine after her after they got divorced. If you can't find a guy that is willing to marry you after 5 years of being divorced than the problem is YOU (and your creepy overbearing father and constant entourage with you).

People people don't you remember before NICK was divorced he was dating just a couple weeks after the split. Nick did a fine job of playing the whoa is me card & still does. If he was so into his marriage he would not have been carousing around for chics before the divorce papers were issued. If you remember it devastsated Jessica that NICK dated immediatley after the divorce. Nick is not a bad guy but he's no innocent here either.

Why do people act like they know these people intimately? Nobody but Jessica and Nick know really went on in their marriage. And though I don't know the true story, I never thought that they were suited to each other. They seemed too different. I wasn't shocked when they split up. And Nick said he did know that Jessica wanted a divorce. She told him so and that was the first she really wanted out. I hope that Jessica can be happy with herself, first and foremost.
She is a make believe designer. She doesn't design clothes. She sells her name to be a brand for clothes designed by real designers. If that hasn't gone south for her yet, it soon will. Who will continue to purchase a name that is only famous for fat, failure, horrendous clothing choices, poor personal hygiene, and for whom intimacy means having a face full of John Mayer's feces, when there are plenty of clean, young, slender girls who are famous for acting or singing whose names could be purchased?
