Exclusive Video: Bristol Palin: Sarah "Doesn't Approve" of Levi Engagement
Bristol Palin exclusively tells the new Us Weekly that her mother Sarah Palin "doesn't really approve" of her surprise engagement to Levi Johnston.
"She's apprehensive and concerned about this. She doesn't want to see me get hurt again," says Bristol, 19, who first broke the news to Us Weekly that her ex Levi, 19 -- father of 18-month-old son Tripp -- popped the question about a month ago.

Sarah has made no secret of her feelings toward Levi, 20, who infuriated her last fall when he claimed that she had called her infant son Trig (who has Down syndrome) "retarded." She sniped back that anyone who would pose for Playgirl would "say and do anything for even more attention." Later, during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, she dubbed him "Ricky Hollywood" and called his "aspiring porn" career "heartbreaking."
Indeed, tensions remained high after Us Weekly broke the story, when the Palins released a tense statement: "Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives."

Admits Bristol in the new issue, "My mom is not 100 percent backing us up right now."
How did Bristol break the news to Sarah? Over the phone -- after she gave an interview and did a photo shoot in Us Weekly.
"She knew Levi and I had been talking, but she wanted to know if Levi was really sincere about this," says Bristol. "I told her we were working on our relationship for Tripp, and she told me, 'Actions speak louder than words.' She's going to wait to see if he changes... But she's just glad he is getting on the right path. She knows how much Tripp means to me, and she wants Tripp to have a father figure."
Since becoming engaged to Johnston again (the two called off their first engagement just two weeks after welcoming their son in December 2008), "What I've done is starting to sink in, and every family member of mine has some concerns -- and that is scaring me. My dad is on the same page as my mom: they don't want to see me get hurt. They don't want to see again what I already went through with Levi."

"People are more worried for me than excited for me," she tells Us.

Trugh you are so far off on your facts it isn’t even funny. It is frankly pathetic. 1. Levi and Bristol broke up after being pushing into the national spotlight and put on stage in front of millions of people while Bristol was pregnant with their child. 2. Levi only reluctantly was pushed into this spotlight. He was on a hunting trip when the former Governor called him and told him that if he did not join her at the Republican National Convention willingly, she would have hiim picked up by Alaska State trooopers and brought to her. He was forced to cooperate. 3. Todd Palin tried to bribe Bristol to stop dating Levi by buying her a car. 4. Sarah Palin became unfriendly to Levi after she lost the campaign. She pushed him out of her daughter’s life. 5. Levi was not allowed to see his child by the Palin family. He tried to avoid a custody fight in court but they forced his hand. 6. Levi posed for Playgirl and got one main payday. Keep in mind that the guy had no private life after he was swept into Palin’s ambitions for public office. Based on that one payout, the judge ordered Levi to pay $1700 a MONTH support for to Bristol and the baby, WHICH HE DID FAITHFULLY. Despite this fact, Bristol and her mother both portrayed Levi in the media as not providing for them. This was simply a blatent lie. 7. Sarah Palin forced a 19 year old boy who clearly loved his son and her daughter into an outsider position in the family. When Levi spoke publicly in Vanity Fair about Palin, he used the only weapon at his disposal to fight back. The motivation was to have any chance at all to win in court to see his son. Please do some research before you spout off again about the complicated relationships in this family.
I know this girl is 19 years old but is it me? Ricky Hollywood (and that is the name he went by in Hollywood not a name Palin give him) lies and trashes the Palins for over a year for money and this girl canâ??t understand why her family isnâ??t thrilled about an engagement. RH failed at getting a Reality show and trashing the Palins for money hit a brick wall. He is out of money but still has to pay $1600.00 a month in child support. So what is left for the loser? Did somebody whisper in his ear, Bristol, baby, and Reality show? Bristol has her own place and is making good money but whines all the time about how hard it is to raise her child. She complaints she has no life because of Tripp. Levi knows Bristol wonâ??t have anything to do with him until he tells the truth about how he lied about her family for fame and money. Everybody with half a brain already knew that Levi was a scumbag and a liar but some people are stupid and believe anything. Now back to my question? Is this the stupidest nineteen year old girl in the news? Does she really think this creep is back with her because of a change of heart? The creepâ??s free ride hit a brick wall and he had to find another one. They will be divorced within 5 years and he will walk away with half of her wealth and joint custody of the baby. Her parents must be pulling their hair out. Bristol had come so far and to have a relapse like this is so sad.

Todd Palin's sister Diane is arrested for breaking and entering and Willow Palin is into vandalism, identified as the ringleader of a group of girls who vandalised a house but had mommy conveniently talk to the state trooper and in the end the girls were called as 'witnesses' against the boys who were the 'vandals' after wrecking a house in Wasilla. Levi is not such a bad guy; a lot of kids make mistakes that they regret later. He may have even been telling the truth. If so, he's better than a lot of boys. However, I am weary of this relationship and even more so their rush into it. They should resolve their issues first even if she's possibly pregnant again. Their potential reality show can be based on co-parenting and then maybe romantically coming together. I'm not fond of all Sarah's "Drill Baby Drill" antics, but I feel sorry for her.
I just find it odd that they are rushing into it. They say they want to be married in a few months, why the rush? I'm guess she may be preggers again and want it to look like a honeymoon baby, they really want to have sex (and aren't) and if the get married then in their eyes they can, or they have to start production on some reality series by a certain date . . .
Sarah Palin IS NOT forcing her beliefs on Bristol. She's not even looking after Bristol, which is why Bristol got in trouble in the first place. Sarah Palin STILL isn't close to Bristol or Bristol would have confided in her parents instead of the tabloids.
It's unfortunate that Bristol doesn't see how much better she deserves than this LOSER. He's a liar, a sell-out, and a complete a-hole. Sarah should NOT approve of this AT ALL.
