Chynna Phillips Checks Herself Into Rehab

Singer Chynna Phillips has entered rehab, her rep confirms to UsMagazine.com.
"After much thoughtful deliberation, Chynna Phillips has checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety," her rep, Lizzie Grubman, tells Us in a statement. "With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family's privacy at this time."

Phillips, 42, was a member of '90s band Wilson Phillips. She has three children with her Gossip Girl husband, Billy Baldwin.
A source close to the singer tells Us that Phillips is still reeling from her half-sister's confession that she carried on a drug-fueled, incestuous affair with their father, John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas.

"The whole thing has caused Chynna such stress she needs to rest because of it," the insider tells Us. "Mackenzie's admission took a toll on her and the whole family."
In an appearance with Mackenzie on The Oprah Winfrey Show last fall, Phillips said, "I pray that we all get closer through this crisis... But I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that there are going to be some huge obstacles in front of us."
She dropped an album, One Reason, with Vaughn Penn last September -- one day before Mackenzie released her tell-all, High on Arrival.

I'm not surprised she has anxiety-her half sister is in rehab, she's married to a baldwin and has three children. It's absolute bull to blame her anxiety totally on Mackenzie's admission though. Regardless of what she thinks is casuing her anxiety I hope she gets the help and rest she needs
I have been hospitalized for what I blamed on anxiety, which was a symptom of alcohol withdrawal. I have been in the system a few times and anxiety is most always symptomatic not the root cause of the issues
Chynna seemed to be the most together member of a crazy family. She also seems to have a strong faith. I hope she gets well.
PUH-LEASE!!!!! If daddy dearest did all those things to the sister, you can bet your bottom dollar he shared his disgusting hands with all his children. I am sure her memories are just coming to head now that her sister's tell all book is out there. The whole family is totally messed up....can you say HOLLYWOOD!!!!
The whole family is a mess. But really, does it matter what she says she is going in for? As long as she gets help for what ever it is. To be honest, it really isn't our business!
She has "just dropping in to see what condition her condition is in" (Kenny Roger n 1st ed). If all this turmoil (her family and his)is dumped all at once she probably has shut down. Time,space,and forgiveness will start her down her own life's road. Here's to real peace and love.
What is it w/ celebs checking themselves in for every problem? THIS IS INSANE. I've felt anxiety. It's part of normal life. I deal with it on my own. I think everyone has a little anxiety in their life. I bet this is a publicity stunt.

to the person w/ anxiety you are lucky you were able to control your condition. not everyone is so lucky. panic attacks can be great and paranoia can enter leaving you feel completely helpless and crazy. she very well might be depressed too. if she wasn't get the care she needed, it could have worsened leading her to rehab. either way, monitoring the situation is for the best. she can rest and get medicine and emotional therapy. you're all become accustomed to the drink/drug rehab...there is rehab for everything (Isiah Washington??) It's really a place to get away and focus on your disease / ailment with doctors, medicine and therapy. Especially if you are a harm to yourself or others.
It is US magazine calling it "rehab", her reps are only saying she checked into a facility for the treatment of anxiety. Only she and those who love her know why she is where she is, why spread vile gossip!
for all of you know it alls...my sister recently was placed in psychiatric rehab for anxiety and depression after a family crisis...she went to the hospital emergency room for anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide...she was placed on a mandatory minimum seven day hold for psychiatric evaluation.
I thought she was married to Stephen Baldwin.Wishes for all concerned.
Anxiety, my foot. I have had anxiety for over twenty years and have done lots of therapy and managed effectively with meds. It's no easy time, but I have never once had to go to "rehab" to recover from it. Why can't these celebs just admit they are going to rehab for actual rehab issues..drinking and drugs? It's not like the rest of the world buys their excuses like "for anxiety." Get real already! Then again maybe we are all just wrong and Robert Downey Jr., Lindsay Lohan, and Charlie Sheen went to rehab for "anxiety", too.... :)

Oh, come on now - who has to go to REHAB for anxiety??? Guess she didn't sell enough Christian albums and now has to stay in the limelight somehow. Ridiculous, and a real slap in the face to Mackenzie, who has REAL problems.
