Fantasia Barrino's father says his daughter is holding up after overdosing on aspirin and a sleeping aid.

"She's doing fine," Joseph Barrino told RadarOnline.com from his home in Greensboro, N.C..

The season 3 American Idol champ, 26, was rushed to the hospital Monday night, her manager, Brian Dickens, confirmed to UsMagazine.com, "Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time."

"Fantasia is stable now.  She will be released from the hospital soon," continued the manager. "Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured. Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it. Her work has always inspired her and served as a source of strength."

A North Carolina police report classified her "serious injury" as an attempted suicide.

Her hospitalization came hours after her manager addressed rumors of a sex tape featuring Barrino and a married man, Antwaun Cook -- which allegedly caused Antwaun's wife, Paula, to file for divorce.

"Fantasia read Mrs. Cook's complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday," says Dickens. "She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook's complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know."

While the manager did not directly address rumors of a sex tape, he did explain Barrino's relationship with Cook.

"Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months," admitted Dickens in a statement. "Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it... Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her."

Barrino's next album, Back to Me, is still due to hit stores Aug. 24.
