Post-Rehab Demi Lovato Opens Up About “Darkest Time of My Life”

Although Demi Lovato has been spotted out and about since leaving a treatment center in late January, the Disney starlet has kept quiet about her fight to get well — until now.

Lovato, 18, appears in a special thank you video to fans posted exclusively at Cambio.com over the weekend.

"I wanted to let you know that I am back and home," says the Camp Rock 2 star, who checked into an unnamed facility in late November to deal with "emotional and physical issues."

(The young entertainer has previously battled eating disorders and self-mutilation.)

Thanking her fans for well-wishes, notes and gifts, Lovato says: "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the support you guys have given me along the way…Your support is what got me through this."

Although Lovato doesn't get into specifics about her latest struggle, she reveals, "The journey that I've been on has been very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but of all ages are dealing with."

She adds emotionally, "I can't tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time of my life. Without you guys, I wouldn't be here today."
