Emma Roberts may be into pole dancing, but not because she's hoping to reprise her aunt Julia Roberts' role in Pretty Woman.

In an interview with the April issue of Women's Health, the Scream 4 star credits her pole dancing routine for sculpting her lean body.

"I started taking classes with friends as a way to both work out and hang out," Emma, 20, tells the mag. "You don't realize how much upper-body strength you need. It's also a good way to build confidence."

Still, Emma -- who noshed on salad, salmon, fried chicken and quinoa during the nearly eight-hour shoot in West Hollywood -- admits that her slender physique isn't the result of exercise alone.

"When I was younger, I would eat whatever I wanted," she says. Later on, "my mom told me to eat healthier, not for the outside, but for the inside. A lot of women feel like they have to eat healthy to be skinny, but for me, it's not about that."

The actress -- who was seen flirting with her Twelve costar Chace Crawford at a post-Oscars bash February 27 -- also shared some of her beauty secrets with the fitness mag.

"If I had to use only one makeup product, it would be mascara. I pile it on," she says. "I also love fake lashes. I buy individual lashes at the drugstore and use tweezers to apply them myself. It's hard to do, but so worth it."
