The new issue of Us Weekly has the first pic of Jessica Simpson and her newest guy, Eric Johnson.
He's a former NFL player -- and still legally married!

The two began dating five weeks ago, shortly after pals brought Johnson -- who retired in 2008 after an injury-plagued career as a tight end for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers -- to a party at Simpson's Beverly Hills' home.

"Jess is definitely rushing into this," an insider tells Us. Indeed, in the photo, the couple are in Jacksonville, Fla., where they were celebrating Johnson's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary!
When not hanging out with his entire family, Simpson and Johnson, who filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Keri, in January, made time for some serious PDA at the modest, family-friendly Ponte Vedra Inn & Club at which they were staying.

While strolling to their modest apartment there, "Her hand was on his butt, and they walked slowly just to enjoy the moment... They looked cute together," says an insider, who also adds that they spent time with a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door.
Simpson -- who dyed her hair dark when she dated John Mayer and became a major sports fan when she was hooking up with Tony Romo (who famously dumped her last July 10, on her 29th birthday) -- has already altered her lifestyle for her New Age-leaning, yoga-loving man.
"Shocked my system with a vegan diet, special Pu-erh tea from China and cupping since Friday," she Twittered on June 27.

201And I agree with ss. It is so obvious that Jess is trying to fill in a void. What her and Nick had was real but they both failed to work on their marriage. They gave up too soon. I think when you experience true love like that it can be hard not to feel a void within you but hey it's their life, nothing is guaranteed. Hopefully Jess can find happiness.
Why does this woman keep dating these random dudes. It seems so pointless. She looks so desperate. Can't she be by herself for a while. She keeps going out with these losers. It seems that ever since her split from Nick she has completely lost herself.

Eric is an ex-NFL tight-end for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers and the duo have been going out for five weeks, despite the fact Eric is still married and going through a divorce from wife Keri Johnson. That may sound questionable, but a source who grew up with Eric told Crushable that thereâ??s nothing sleazy about him. In fact, the popular captain of the football team at Needham High in Needham, Mass. (where he was a tight-end and wide receiver) was a model student. An all-A student with tons of friends (despite being an only child), Eric was also named Best Volleyball Player in Massachusetts his senior year after picking up the sport only months before. Eric was a three-sport jock; he also played basketball for his school. Of course, no oneâ??s perfect. Though if the worst one can say about Eric is that he once smoked a joint at an Allman Brothers concert â?? which is what Crushableâ??s source told us â?? thatâ??s still a pretty squeaky-clean image.
