Gilles Marini is ready to put the pain of Dancing With the Stars behind him! The runner-up checked into a hospital Tuesday morning to undergo surgery to treat a shoulder injury he obtained while dancing on the hit reality show.
"On my way to the hospital," the Sex and the City actor posted on Twitter at 9 a.m. "I am relax and hope that all will be fine. It's my number 15 when it comes to surgery. Love G." Unlike other stars who dropped out of the competition due to injury, Marini refused treatment after separating his shoulder early on in the show so that he could stay in the running.
He ended up making it through to the season finale, and lost the title by less than one percent to Olympian Shawn Johnson.
"Backstage, we were all really happy for each other," he told Usmagazine.com in May. "We started reminiscing about our journeys and how far each of us have come and the last time we were all out here, we all got perfect scores. Personally, we all won!"
