Update: James Van Der Beek Weds Pregnant Girlfriend: New Details!

James Van Der Beek has said "I do!" for a second time.
The former Dawson's Creek star, 33, wed his pregnant girlfriend Kimberly Brook on Sunday, he announced on Twitter.

Van Der Beek had been hinting earlier in the day that he was getting hitched, writing, "Best day of my life so far."
A hour later, he added: "The woman I love did me the honor of [becoming] my wife today ... I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life." See the top 10 reasons to get married.
Update: the actor's rep gave more details to UsMagazine.com: "James Van Der Beek and Kimberly Brook were married on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in Tel Aviv, Israel in a small spiritual ceremony surrounded by a few close friends and teachers. The couple met in Israel last year," the rep says, adding that the groom wore an Armani suit, and the bride donned "a vintage creation by Shareen."
In April, the actor announced that he was going to be a dad. "The woman I love and I are expecting our first child," he Twittered. "Currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed."
He and Brook began dating a year ago.
In March, Van Der Beek reached a divorce settlement with his former wife of six years, actress Heather McComb.

Ok just because he was dating or she was dating before divorce people are legally separated before the divorce. I think he is a class act because he isn't saying he never loved his 1st wife he is just saying He loves the woman who is carrying his child I really don't feel he meant to slight her I love every cast member from dawson which I rewatch all episodes every year Have you seen his video with Ka$ha hot so hot
Here's the facts: -James and his ex split. By the time two people split up they have usually been ready to move on for quite some time. -He dated for several months and met Kimberly (Heather was already in another relationship herself before he met Kimberly. I hear she encouraged him to date). It seems to me that they were both ready to start relationships because they both did. Meaning- we can't judge. Perhaps the relationship was LONG OVER! Maybe they became friends. It's not up to us to speculate -James seems to be a relationship/family man rather than a sleaze ball. He fell in love and was ready for a family. -The rest is none of our business. -Divorces are just paperwork. James and Heather seperated their hearts a long time ago. -Kimberly got pregnant. They got married. That's a very respectable decision. What I don't understand is how people can say such cruel things while they judge other people for doing things wrong. End of the day- whatever happened between them did. I just think its time people start looking within rather than wasting their time judging other people. A baby is involved in this story. What a blessing a child is ALWAYS.

So he filed for Divorce in March 2009? Does not help his case! He started dating his new wife in July 2009, now a year later she's pregnant and they're married. He has moved extremely quickly however you look at it. I feel bad for his first wife. He keeps calling his new wife "the woman I love" (does he not like calling her by her name?), and said his 2nd wedding was the best day of his life. Way to be sensitive to his ex-wife, whom he was married to for 6 years. I agree with Norah Lee, more people should be embarrassed for the man, he has no sensitivity. At the very least, there is no need for him to be broadcasting his new relationship on Twitter!

Norah Lee, He didn't file for divorce in March 2010 he filed in March of 2009 but it was finalized earlier this year.
Is it just me or does he sound kind of Tom Cruise creepy by only calling her "the woman I love" and not her name? It is supposed to sound romantic, but it just sounds odd!

To Anonymous: That was very well said. I agree 100%. Morals have certainly gone out the door. Dating while still married to someone else really isn't right. Of course, having faith in God and following the 10 commandments (though shall not commit adultry) seems to be a thing of the past. I too am not judging, but right is right and wrong is wrong. Let us call a sin a sin and try not to continue in this lifestyle.

I guess congratulations!! I am confused because he just divorced his wife in March and here it is August and he's married again. Did he marry his new wife for love or jsut because she was pregnant? It's just a thought!!! If he is happy, then be happy for him. I just hope that he married his wife for love and not because she is pregnant!!
