Jenny McCarthy Might Wed Jim Carrey "for Tax Purposes"

Jenny McCarthy is starting to change her tune about marriage.

Although the star, 37, has said she would never wed Jim Carrey, her beau of five years, she tells UsMagazine.com that it may soon become a possibility.

"We say 'never,' but I don't know," she told Us at the 8th Annual World Poker Tournament in L.A. Saturday. "Maybe for tax purposes, someday, when we are old."
She adds: "That's what we keep joking -- like, when we are 70! But for now, we're fine. We are really fine!"
And for now, the only change she and Carrey, 48, are prepping for is their new roles as grandparents! (Carrey's daughter, Jane, is due to give birth next week.)

"I love it! I love, love, love it," McCarthy, mom to 7-year-old son Evan, says of the impending title change. "I think I'm going to be the awesome grandma, the world's best, is what I say."

I am so sick and tired of hearing Jenny's marriage put-downs! Does she not realize that some long-married, commited couples are having to quietly divorce to avoid taxes and losing all they have! I am so sorry that she and Jim will never know the deep, lasting love that comes within a great marriage and that the "little piece of paper" just cements and lifts your commitment to a higher place. Enjoy your money, it's evidently all you care about!

Jenny and Jimmy have you guys even gotten around to using the 'L' word yet? It is rather obvious you guys are very much in love (oops!) with each other. For all of your fans and children, just do it! Get married already. Truthfully the IRS could care less what the terms of your contract will be, however you guys are a perfect couple because you have so much to offer each other and the rest of us. Tie the knot alreeady!
It is completely up to the family as to if they will call her Grandma. My father has been engaged for 5 years, and I have always considered her my step mom, even if they never go all the way with it- that's their choice. She is the grandmother to my daughter, because I want her to be. I don't understand why people are so hung up on a stupid technicality.
Some of ya'll are mean. She will be considered the child's grandma if that is what the daughter wants....and it sounds as if she has a good relationship with the daughter...so... get over it. I'm Aunt to a child who is absolutely no relation to me because the mother has declared it so. Who cares where the blood flows, it is where the heart goes that is more important.

She's always seemed plastic and fake -- before and after the baby. Has the party hardy sorority girl vibe to her.
I think she can be called Grandma. My Dad isn't married to his girlfriend of 20 years who I am very close to but she would definitely be considered a grandmother to my child (if i had one). I have an excellent relationship with my mother as well so my child would have 2+ loving grandmothers. You can't judge what relationship she has with Jims daughter. The more the merrier when it comes to family
Couldn't agree with you more, T. I've actually said the same thing: she's not a grandma. Jane is not her daughter. She will be a grandma when her son has a kid. Period.
I think Jenny's a sweetheart and all, but she does realize that Jim's daughter A) has a mother already, and B) isn't even Jim's wife so really isn't even remotely considered this baby's grandmother. I think she's taking this all too far. Glad they are happy though. They're an adorable couple.
But she isn't a gramma, she's grampa's hook-up.
She is such a wannabe. Rubber boobs & botox...plus her kid is ugly!
Why does her face look so different? Did she get plastic surgery? I don't even think she looks like herself.
