Video: Jessica Simpson Loses It in Buddhist Temple

Say ohm!

In her upcoming reality show The Price of Beauty, Jessica Simpson traveled the world with BFFs Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb to learn "what defines beauty" in different cultures.

PHOTOS: Jessica's most outrageous moments!

In this clip, 29-year-old Simpson and her two pals visit a Buddhist temple in Thailand. As a Buddhist monk teaches the trio how to meditate, Jessica can't help being Jessica.

The single singer visited a "fattening hut" in Uganda, munched on fried cockroaches (they're hair-healthy!) in Thailand and chatted with super-skinny runway models in Paris.

PHOTOS: Guess the bra sizes of Jessica and other stars

Can Simpson find her center and keep a straight face? Watch this funny clip now (above)!

I just wonder how many of you naysayers could be so honest as this lovely lady. She a breath of fresh air. Jessica is beautiful, inside and out. She doesn't have to find it she is it.

For the novice, 40 minutes is a long time to sit and try to focus on nothing. The mind in all its wonders, fidgets and thinks of all sorts of things, not relevant to anything. To be able to take yourself to a place of still is not always easy. Meditation takes time. To the minister's kid, it is like a time out for the mind, and while in prayer words are said/felt/experienced, a sermon is listened to (probably for about 15 minutes and after that the message is half lost), but meditation takes nonaction and not thinking, not doing, not anything is something that takes daily practice, several times a day. Laughter can be an uncontrollable thing, same with crying. It can be brought out by doing the act of prayer, as it probably can in meditation(after) jessica's self honesty is a good step. What i've seen in her is one who is not secure enough yet, that she has to do things to start over, please others, be objectified by many here. She's human. Bless her, may she find someone who she doesn't have to be their idea of the right person, rather a person who nourishes her and they help each other grow.

May be she will learn better next time to project herself that she came from a proper rearing. It is an acquired learning to behave...regardless of how old you are.

The translation was off in the video. Here's what the monk has said: "It is the beauty that shine from inside with the beauty in your heart makes the projection of your looks being perfect regardless of what your physical portions"....and the writer has no knowledge about Buddhist prayer. "Ohm..|" that is Hindi. Hope next time the writer of this column do more homework and inform your reader a correct information.

Sadly, people here are hoping their answers will come from Jessica Simpson. They have really missed the point. Actually, given the circumstances, Simpson understood her fault in her reflections and looking back better than most would

It takes a lot more courage to be able to laugh at yourself and your shortcomings, especially on national television, than it does to fake being perfect. I think that's something that a Buddhist monk could relate to. Buddhist monks giggle, too. I like Jessica Simpson; her self-effacing humor reminds me of Dolly Parton and her ability to poke fun at herself.

She is soooo fkg ugly...and I totally agree with you trudye.

  • March 31, 2010 - 3:42pm trudye

I find I agree with Megan, Jessica seems "delayed" stuck in a void somewhere where women need to be nothing more than eye candy and you never ever ask them to speak. In 30+ years I'm afraid Jess will still be doing this type of thing, and that will be even more pathetic than now. And now is pathetic to the nth degree. I saw her on Rachel Ray and she behaved like a 10 or 11 year old. And guess what Jess, this is NOT attractive, as you are finding out slowly and painfully. Intelligence is soo appealing to others, this bimbo personna just isn't. I feel very sorry for Jess.

Lighten up. She's not perfect and neither is anyone posting. She gave the 40 minute meditation a good try, especially if she doesn't practice mediation daily for nearly that long. Lighten up, she didn't mean to get the giggles. Sometimes it just happens. At least she's trying to learn by experiencing different cultures while most of us take a back seat and criticize from the outside looking in at the tv.

"for some reason I couldn't be at peace with myself" uh huh My goodness. She really is a ditz.

  • March 18, 2010 - 11:26am megan

I THINK THAT JESSICA SIMPSON IS MENTALLY DELAYED, JUST LAME, HOW IN THE HECK IS SHE GOING TO LAUGH DURING A SERMON. I NOW SEE WHY ALL THE GUYS DUMPED HER. SHE SHOULD JUST BE A STREET WALKER OF STRIPPER. THAT'S THE TYPE OF PERSONALITY SHE HAS. JOHN MAYER SAYS SHE IS A GOOD LAY , SO TRAMP GO FOR IT. NO ONE WILL EVER WHAT HER BUT A (JOHN) DUMB NISSON

  • March 15, 2010 - 4:09pm Jackie

    OMG! She's a complete idiot!!

  • March 15, 2010 - 3:30pm Gunny

You can't take seriously anythiing this fluff chick has to say. Why doesn't she do us all a favor and just undress and be herself.

  • March 15, 2010 - 2:48pm Angie

She said in an interview that John Mayer "gave away her game" by letting everyone know that her "good girl" image was just an act all along. It's sad that young girls look up to her.

  • March 15, 2010 - 10:51am Liz

You would think she would be more respectful being a preachers daughter! A child would behave better than that.

  • March 15, 2010 - 8:36am Mrs. B

Mrs. M. very well said! Totally agree. I find her just as annoying as you do. Hopefully, once this reality show finally airs, we will stop being subjected to her stupidity.

I hate to say this but maybe she was thinking about that article that Gorgon hints too.
