Jessica Simpson doesn't mind having a bit of meat on her bones.

"I know that men like their curves. I always say 'I'll give them something to grab onto,'" the reality star, 29, told Barbara Walters' Sirius XM radio show Monday while promoting her new VH1 show, The Price of Beauty.

Simpson says she doesn't deny herself.

"I don't diet. I used to count calories. I watch what I eat, but I also let myself indulge," she said.

Still, she admits it wouldn't hurt if she dropped a few pounds.

"I could probably lose weight and still be healthy. But I don't obsess about it anymore," added Simpson, who says she's a size 4.

"I think people are looking at what models look like. I am not a model. I am 5-foot-3," she said. "I don't look like a model. That is not my profession.

Simpson says she thinks "women dress more for other women. I think that they want to be in shape more for other women."

Still, "I want a man to look at me and think I look good," she went on.

nah trudye, one think i hate is a girl that thinks she's a know-it-all or goes around bragging the fact that she's smart, i like a bit of ditziness, it's cute

I really doubt J. is a size 4, she has too much meat on her bones for that. Also what men like to grab onto Jess, is intelligence unless all they want for the time being is an easy bang and then they can go on their way. I'm not putting that down either......but come on, brains are nice, it's nice to be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with whomever you are with. Jess's attitude is sad, give her another 20+ years and sad will be the understatement here.

I am a seamstress and have been for many years and I assure you that jessica is not a size 4.Her height and figure put her in a size 12-14 and it is so obvious.Size 4 are very thin and straight in shape not curves as jessica obviously has. It's a shamed she not as comfortable in her body as she makes out to be and just admit her true size. She is still a pretty girl but not a model as she has said.

Real woman have curves, even at a size 4.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT, JESSICA. CURVES ARE A HECK OF A LOT SEXIER THAN SKIN OF BONES. PLUS THE BREATH OF A CURVY GIRL IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE BREATH OF A SKINNY GIRL. GO FIGURE THAT OBVIOUS ONE OUT.

Beverly. There is no jealousy here, and I didn't say anything nasty. All I said was that I am tired of her weight issues being spewed all over the tabloids, and by other comments, I am not the only one sick of this topic. If you read something nasty into it, then you, Berverly, have the problem. Its called reading comprehension. Get Some.

Men lust over women shaped like a barrel with boobs?

  • March 17, 2010 - 10:43pm Shoshanna

Well, she is right about one thing - she has the figure men lust over. Put her against Rachel Zoe and see which one the men pick.

I like how people really think they know what size she is. I am a size 4 but I'm 5'8, my friend is 5'2 and also wears a size 4 but she is very curvy and has a 38DD chest - she is much like Jessica. It's b/c she is so short and small that she wears a smaller size. Duh!!!!!

Jessica is yesterday's news, but the media like her, so she continues to show up. She's really a bore.

  • March 17, 2010 - 8:40pm Javah

She talks about her weight so much because people are contantly making stupid, insulting comments and asking her about it.

  • March 17, 2010 - 5:03pm Andrea

Not really a Jessica fan, but I'm glad she is comfortable in her own skin. She's right. Most men prefer a curvy woman. I know plenty of them who say having a "skeletor" in bed is repulsive.

  • March 17, 2010 - 3:25pm Ginger

OOPS. I didn't mean to comment three times. It took a long time for my comments to show up. I didn't think they would show up so I retyped my comment.

They also like Women who will be able to take care of the house and their kids.

Kim K and Jennifer Lopez don't invite the focus to be on their weight or butts the way JSimpson does. J Simpson hasn't shut up about her weight in over a year. She does magazine covers about it, cries to Oprah about it, does a reality show about how in other countries fatness is sought after. If Jennifer Lopez put her butt on the cover of Allure and said it was a size 2, she'd get people talking too. But then J Simpson lives for tabloid stories.

  • March 17, 2010 - 2:21pm Beverly

P.S.---One more comment and then I'm out of here. As far as Jessica being a size 4---no, I don't think so. She looks great, but she's no size 4. Size 4 is tiny and skinny, not voluptuous, as Jessica is. Who cares about the numbers? Only the designers who, if they can make an outfit in a tiny size and still charge the same amount and use less material, it's to their benefit and more profit for them. I think that's where all this fuss about size comes from. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my opinion.

  • March 17, 2010 - 2:17pm Beverly

Ginger, do I detect just a wee bit of jealousy here? Your comments are very nasty and uncalled for. When people make nasty comments like you just did, there's something else going on.

  • March 17, 2010 - 2:14pm Beverly

Jessica is absolutely right! She's fine just the way she is and people should just stop picking on her about her weight or anything else. I read somewhere that she raked in 50 million dollars last year from her various businesses, shoe lines, etc. Anyone who can do that is not dumb. Look at Jennifer Lopez: she's small on top, but has that big butt, and people don't pick on her for it. She's proud of it, as she should be about herself, and doesn't think it's a "flaw." Look at Kim Kardashian---she's a very curvy girl on a very small frame. She's only 5'2" tall. Name me one man who doesn't look at Kim K. and not think she's sexy? So, enough with singling out Jessica Simpson and picking on her for her supposed "weight problem." She doens't have a "weight problem."

  • March 17, 2010 - 1:03pm Ginger

All this girl did was put on a few pounds and she has been milking it for what she can get out of it. Jessica, when you do something worth while, other than gain weight, than make a big deal out of it. Take your so called curvy body and stuff it already. I am sick of your weight issues.

  • March 17, 2010 - 12:59pm Ginger

Enough already. Too much Jessica already. Too much about her weight issues already. It is obvious that Jessica is milking her weight issues for the money she can get out of it. Hateful women are on here bashing other women because of this girl's weight issues. Enough already. This is a tired, old, subject, and Jessica is a tired, old, subject. Lets move on already. When Jessica can do something worth while, instead of just put on a few pounds, then write about it.
