Kat Von D: How I Fell in Love With Jesse James

Kat Von D and Jesse James put their relationship on display Thursday, holding hands and posing for photos together at the opening of her Wonderland gallery in West Hollywood.
And the LA Ink star, 28, doesn't care what anyone thinks (James, 41, finalized his divorce from Sandra Bullock this summer after he admitted to cheating on her).
"I think I learned a long time ago, even before the show, that it really doesn't matter in the big picture [what anyone thinks]," she told UsMagazine.com. " All that stuff isn't important. I want to lead by example and do my best."
Asked if she's happy, she said, "Yes."

She previously said that she first met James when she was 22 -- when he had a program on the Discovery Channel -- before things got romantic this summer.
"I think it was something that was spontaneous," she told Us. "It definitely wasn't planned."

She's been to his new home in Austin, Tx -- where James' ex Bullock, 46, also owns a home -- and has met his kids, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and Sunny, 6.
"Jesse took me to a really neat antique shop," Von D told Us. "So we went in and hung out. I got an old drawing, engraving Beethoven."
Asked if James was involved in her gallery, she said, "Yeah, were together. Duh."

Of course they have the right to do whatever they want and they shouldnt necessarily care what people think. Having said all that... Kat is making a fool out of herself. People are going to turn on her, and that could affect her career. Who wants to be the first woman to publicly date Jesse James, the man who cheated on a beloved movie star? She obviously has no respect for herself or she'd stop running around declaring how in love they are to the media.
I think Kat is pretty and all buts he is dirty looking and her hands are nasty. Her nails are sick and dirty looks like she be fixing cars. Seriously!!!! Yup, her and James belong together.
I think that Jesse and Kat make a great couple. They have so much in common. Sandra is to much a woman for Jesse, she is to classy and deserves better.
There is word on the net that Nikki Sixx who was Kat's boyfriend for a long time, while her show was on and has been shown with her on the show, cheated on her and broke up with her, altho maybe it was mutual because they sure didn't seem to spend much quality time together. Same with this new thing with Jesse, how the hell is it supposed to last when he just moved to another state and her tattoo show is in LA? Maybe he should sell that new house before he gets too cozy in it and move back here and set up shop again for his own business (if he still has one that is). Kat will probably be tattooing all his empty spaces pretty soon, marking her teritory so to speak. I really hated the way she treated her "friend" Cory in the recent episodes. He helped her get her shop started and had huge talent and brought in lots of business. I'm glad for him tho that's he got a job with a shop thast will appreciate him and his talent. Kat talks about her so-called "family" there at her shop and first chance she gets to show it she turns on the very guy who helped her start the whole thing to begin with. That's loyalty for ya. Yeah, I think Kat and Jesse DO make a good match when you think about it that way. Neither of them have the slightest idea what loyalty means.

@George everyone makes mistakes WE ALL DO IT! She LESRNED from it and is RECOVERRING FROM AN ADDICTION/ILLNESS!! That means she realized she had a problem and CORRECTED it! For that I give her a LOT of credit! She IS a great person who turned her life around and stopped living in a bottle.

i don't really like this sign in with facebook thing but i met kat von d last year at one of her book signings and she was so nice and down to earth. while i may think jesse is scum, i'd just like for nice people to be happy. so i hope she is. i doubt jesse is the type of man who can be faithful in a relationship but i guess we'll see.

I have a few tats so does my wife, this isnt about body art, its about morals! Do I want a alcoholic raising my kids??? Hell No! Kat is to into her career and grasping for stardom. i think he is a real s head for what he did to sandra and going on tv and telling the whole world that he loves her and will not give up on her and the crying please him and kat belong together and he just needs to stay the hell out of sandra`s life and her baby

Who knew Jesse James was such a wee-man. Is he really that shrimpy, or does Kat Von D just have the largest human head in recorded history? At least Jesse is now dating within his own social level. Sandra, Sandra do you regret bottom trolling? You never lift people like this up, they bring you down. Date a little closer to your class level next time. Slumming it can be fun sometimes, but eventually you have to take the trash out before it reaks up your whole life. Leslie, watch LA Ink - it's not the tats that make her trashy. You're right though 'A' tattoo does not make one trashy, but an entire body collage including prison-knuckle-tats certainly kicks your butt right off the tacky cliff into the trailer-trash abyss.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH GEORGE. I use to like Jesse James when he had his show, West Coast Choppers. And I totally love Sandra Bullock, she is such a great person and actress. I was shocked to find out they got married, totally opposite of one another. But opposites attract, is what they say. But after he cheated on her, WTF?!?!?! Sandra deserves better, and she has that person in her life now. Kat and Jesse, you guys deserve each other. AND I AM NOT SAYING JUST BECUZ THEY HAVE TATT'S. Its beside the point. Ever since Kat got famous, she has been running around. What ever happened to Nikki Sixx? WHATEVER. Hope they have a good life. She will be with someone new in less than a year, and he would have cheated on her as well.
