Plus-sized confessions!

Melissa McCarthy became a bonafide star over the past 12 months thanks to her scene-stealing turn in Bridesmaids and her hit CBS sitcom Mike and Molly.

The 41-year-old Emmy winner became the brunt of a scathing Oct. 2010 blog post by Marie Claire's blogger Maura Kelly, who  criticized Mike and Molly's plus-sized stars (McCarthy's small-screen hubby is played by Billy Gardell).

"So anyway, yes, I think I'd be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other," Kelly sniped in her post. ""Because I'd be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything."

McCarthy's thoughts on the fracas, for which Kelly later apologized? "My first thought was, 'Gosh, I hope she doesn't have a daughter,'" she tells the new Entertainment Weekly. "And then after a second I thought, 'What a sad, troubled person. You're making such a s—y judgment on people.'"

Still, McCarthy admits to EW that she occasionally wishes she had a different body than her own. "Do I sometimes hope I wake up in the morning and people are like, 'What's wrong with her? She looks so emaciated.' Of course I would love that," the comic star says.

"I'm such a clothes whore I would love the opportunity to be a hanger," admits McCarthy, who burst into tears when she won her Emmy for Mike and Molly in September. "But I think I'm more confident than I've ever felt in my life. I always thought it was worth the fight. Now I know it is."
