The honeymoon's over for newlyweds Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher -- but that doesn't mean they're not still in a state of just-married bliss!

"I'm a married lady now!" Underwood, 27, blogged on her fansite Wednesday. "Married life is pretty much like dating life. My husband is back in Canada...story of my life!" (Hockey star Fisher, 30, plays for the Ottawa Senators; Underwood performed in Nashville, Tenn. on Tuesday)

The singer and athlete tied the knot in front of 230 guests at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga. July 10, and honeymooned for 8 days in Bora Bora, followed by 3 days in Napa Valley.

Gushed Underwood: "I know how blessed I am. I know how special these things are. There is nothing in the world that I could possibly ask for because you can't add to perfection!

Fisher spilled far more details about the wedding and its romantic aftermath to the Ottawa Sun.

"The whole weekend is almost like a blur," he said of the wedding. "The ceremony was really nice, the pastor did a great job, the reception was a lot of fun. Just to have everyone close to us around was a big deal. A wedding's not nearly as much fun without those close family and friends with you."

Although Fisher said he's "not one for crowds and being at the center of attention," he said he "wasn't really nervous" during the ceremony. "We were more thinking about each other...I was excited to be married."

He added: "The whole day was great. It was everything we both wanted it to be."

How about that Tahitian honeymoon? "We had an awesome time...It was the longest time she's had off in the last five years. That was probably the longest time I've ever been away, too. We had so much fun."

And while they're many miles apart right now, Fisher cooed that married life is "awesome...I'm with my best friend and I love her to death," he said. "There’s nothing better, for sure."

I heard there is trouble too. He wants her to move to canada and she wants to stay in nashville because of her home and career responsibilities. I heard mike said he was staying in canada with or without her. I knew this marriage was a mistake. Why they didnt just keep dating until he retired I will never know. I think she is better off without him.

what a joke, does anyone really believe these two can sustain a marriage via phone calls and text messages? I give it a year once they actually live together. Carrie has already said, if they had to live together 365 days a year they would hurt each other, her quote not mine. Shes use to being in charge and mostly alone. She loves the public and attention, he hates it. How do u learn to live with it when your in canada and shes here. I hae no idea why they got married, just stay dating until he retired, live together and find out how this isnt gonna work. As for virgin, please people, the woman has dated 6 guys do u really believe she is pure. This is a come see me a day or so, lets sleep together, then go away kinda marriage. What is carrie thinking? Another median event i suppose.

Congrats to both! They are adorable couple. But I personally don't think they thought this through.I hope he finds a team here to play for. If they want to have kids in the future, i don't see it working out. I don't see them lasting. She has mentioned in an article after dating Tony "if a guy wants to date me most of our relationship will be over the telephone & we won't see each other much." I hope her attitude changed. These celebs don't know what a real marriage is. But best luck to both of them.

Wish them all the best. it's not easy being married, plus the celebrity adds to the stresses, but i think they will be just fine. God bless.

    Nice couple, wish them luck

Wow, you are all jealous! Maybe that's why you are unhappy in your own lives. If you can't say nothing nice, don't say anything at all... And look for something positive because it seems like your life sucks.

I hate her, I hate her

I guess she wasn't a virgin after all. Probably freaky.

I can't agree, once your married both or one of the parties stops trying

    no it is not,carrie.

This will never last. They've been married a week and they're still living separately? He needs to play for the LA Kings or some place where Carrie can be all Hollywood. This will be over in 3 years max and they will say it was "nobody's fault" and "they remain the best of friends" with the "utmost respect for each other" but the "distance got to be too much." Same story, different celeb.

Carrie is a pretty woman, but she wears way too much make-up!

Pretty cynical my2cents. Perhaps you're projecting the failing of your relationship onto Carrie and Mikes. Some people stay happy and don't cheat.

Carrie is a pretty woman but she wears far too much make up!

  • July 29, 2010 - 1:21pm my2cents

It won't last...there's something very obnoxious about her...he'll cheat and she'll leave. I give it 3 years.

  • July 29, 2010 - 12:40pm Italia

Well, that tells us what she was doing while she was dating.

Okay. I never write anything, but had to now. What is wrong with these celebrities. She has been married for two weeks. She has no clue what marriage is yet. Good Lord and come to the real world. Seriously, grow up.
