"[It's] a special video for a special song," he wrote. "I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she's somebody who's had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had. Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire."

The former Hannah Montana star seemed pleased with the video as well, tweeting to fans after the video hit, "Thank y'all so much. #fire is going crazy."

During a recent interview with The Associated Press, the actress said it's been tough transitioning from a Disney Channel child star to an adult musician.

"I think some people kind of fall off and they end up going crazy because you don't give yourself time to go crazy," she explained. "That's what you're supposed to do; you are 20, you are supposed to be a mess because you haven't figured it out yet, and 10 years from now I am supposed to have it all together."
