Minka Kelly isn't the kind of girl who counts calories.
The Roommate actress, 30 -- who's currently dating Yankees player Derek Jeter -- says she isn't afraid to indulge in her favorite foods, even if they aren't necessarily healthy for her.
"I don't want to diet for the rest of my life," the slender starlet tells the March issue of Self. "If you don't let yourself have the things you want, especially when it comes to something as simple as food, you'll fill and end up being less healthful."
To balance out her love of junk food, Kelly says she'll typically have "egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with protein for lunch, and fish and veggies at night. But once in awhile, I have that cheeseburger and fries!"
Capping off every meal? A sugary-sweet dessert!
"I don't feel like dinner's done unless I have a sweet," she explains. "I'd rather go for a small slice of real chocolate cake than a bunch of sugar-free cookies. It's all moderation."
In addition to being mindful of what she eats, Kelly trains with fitness guru Gunnar Peterson three days a week; she also runs for 45 minutes at a time on her off days.
"I watch Beyonce videos while I'm working out," she tells Self. "The dancers' bodies are so inspiring!"
Still, the actress insists that "it's not about weight; I haven't gotten on a scale in a long time. If I'm working out hard enough, I'm proud of myself."
