Nick Offerman Shaves Off His Mustache for First Time in Years, Looks Totally Different: Photos

Nick Offerman
Nick Offerman shaved his mustache and looks like a new man.

A whole new Nick! For more than five years, Nick Offerman has been sporting a thick mustache to play his Parks and Recreation character, gruff manly man Ron Swanson. After completing his portion of filming on the final season of the NBC show, Offerman shaved his 'stache to debut a fresh new look.

The 22 Jump Street actor, 44, stepped out at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival this week with his trademark mustache noticeably absent. The made-over star hit Park City, Utah to promote two upcoming films, and kick off his post-Parks career sans-'stache.

On Saturday, Jan. 24, Offerman attended events in support of his adventure film A Walk in the Woods, in which he stars alongside Robert Redford, Emma Thompson, Nick Nolte, Kristen Schaal, and Mary Steenburgen. While his face was not entirely clean-shaven, Offerman's upper lip was seen for the first time in years, as he sported a graying beard.

The following day, the star returned to the Sundance red carpet for his drama Me & Earl & the Dying Girl. Offerman, who showed off his chin strap again on Sunday, stars in the emotional film with Thomas Mann, Olivia Cookie, Jon Bernthal, and Connie Britton, among others.

Offerman was still rocking said 'stache just last week, while filming his very last scenes for Parks and Recreation. Offerman's no-nonsense Ron Swanson will make his last appearance in the beloved comedy show when Parks & Rec airs its series finale next month.

On Friday, Jan. 23, the actor's Parks costar Retta shared one of the final photos of a mustachioed Offerman. The shot showed Offerman, full mustache intact, standing against a wall in a yellow outfit with a hoodie, staring off into the distance.

"Ladies and gentlemen, that's a series wrap on Mr. Nick Offerman," Retta captioned the image. "#RonSwanson He's a simple man. He likes pretty, dark-haired women, and breakfast food… We wrapped the show in December. We shoot out of order and scenes from episode 4 were Nick & Amy's last scenes of the series."
