Reunited — and it feels pretty darn good.

Just minutes after a judge lifted the no contact order between Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood, 20, and Gary Shirley, 22, Wednesday the twosome left the Madison County, Indiana court hand-in-hand.

After being separated for weeks the on-and-off couple, parents to two-year-old Leah, are giving their romance another go, starting with a friendly meal.

"Gary took Amber and her mom out to lunch after," an insider tells UsMagazine.com. "They went to [local chain] Frisch's."

But despite the cozy scene, Portwood — who served a brief jail sentence in December on domestic violence charges related to several alleged physical attacks against Shirley — and Shirley still have a long way to go to reunite their family.

Although the judge lifted the restraining order barring Portwood from contacting her former fiance, the couple aren't allowed to spend time together with their tot.

"I want to make sure Leah doesn't end up in the middle of the turmoil that seems to be surrounding the two of you right now," explained the judge.

"They are not happy with the fact that they can’t have Leah together," says the source. "But they’re happy that they can start working together on their relationship. They want to take it slow. So they don’t jump back into a relationship and back into the same old ways as before."

Still Shirley admitted in court that he wants to be with Portwood forever. "That's the end goal," he said. "To go for marriage."
