Katie Holmes showed off her taut tummy in a burgundy bikini in Miami Beach, Florida on Saturday. Joined by Suri, 5, Holmes tested the waters while her daughter (clad in a floral coverup) splashed in the surf.

The mother-daughter duo were enjoying some quality time together while Tom Cruise, 48, is in town to film his new movie Rock of Ages with Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Malin Akerman and Mary J. Blige.

Holmes is eager to see her husband's portrayal of fictional rocker Stacee Jaxx in the flick, based off the hit Broadway musical. "[Tom] is such an amazing performer," Holmes recently told Access Hollywood. "His voice is incredible."

30Taut tummy? As a personal trainer, I would call her a skinny fat person...absolutely NO muscle tone. Thin may be in, but only if it's healthy thin, not skin and bones thin. Kate, consume more calories!

I love Kate but, when I found out Tom sent her to wife "bootcamp" down in Hemet, not once but twice and she actually went for it, I realized that she was probably in as bad a situation as Nicole was and instead of getting out, I finally got it! Tom Cruise is an egomaniacal peeker and he will take Suri if Katie doesn't toe the line!!!!!!
If Nicole had to sign a contract that said she had to give up any children they might have in the event the marriage failed, and if she actually signed it, then she's a cold-hearted biotch! No good woman would agree to give away her kids! So tired of people saying the reason she abandoned her adopted kids is bcoz Tom made her do it or she had to sign a contract or bcoz of scientology!
She may not have the perfect body but she also does not go around acting like she does. She is natural just like she should be. No fake breast, not butt lifts or tummy tucks. Natural.
Wow. It would be interesting to see what all of you ladies look like in your bathing suits. Maybe you should make it your Facebook profile picture? I cannot believe the nastiness that many of you are displaying. You're criticizing this poor woman on everything from the skinniness of her belly, the smallness of her breasts, the shape of her bellybutton (really?!), and one of you even goes as far as to call her emaciated and to claim that her 5 year-old daughter is wearing a diaper!!! Why are you checking out this child's diaper area to determine what she's wearing underneath? She's obviously wearing a coverup on her bathing suit. Thank God she is, because otherwise you'd be critiquing her body as well. Who are you people and how sad are your pathetic lives that you resort to tearing apart a woman you don't even know? She's still a person - regardless of how much money she has or what she and her husband do for a living. What sad, sad world this is.

Courtney Puzzo, Vanessa Redgrave looks great, too. However, it's SO rare when a Hollywood star doesn't destroy their face and bodies with plastic surgery - you can only name ONE person. I can name another - Betty White. Katie Holmes, I believe is a real woman who will not resort to desperate measures to hold on to her man, or to her youth. (Which in both cases, never works anyway.) Again, Nicole Kidman never had a thing to do with her adopted children. I always thought that's why Tom Cruise left her - because she was such a failure as a mother. Katie Holmes ended up their mother. Katie is a gem.

@Isabel there's plenty of Women in Hollywood that have real breasts which at certain times in their life fluctuate in size. I do not like Nicole Kidman. I think Katie is a good Mom, who spends a great deal of time with her daughter Suri, and doesn't put herself ahead of her. Katie is not self promoting either.
Everyone in Los Angeles knows about the contract she was forced to sign if she expected to marry him - come on folks, this isn't a typical set-up. He does everything from the driver's seat. Do you honestly think Nicole Kidman went into this thinking he was going to have his midlife crisis after only ten years? Go back to when he trashed her in the press and tried to lie in court about when they separated, but in the meantime, she literally wasn't allowed to return home. I mean, you know Katie had to sign a contract too right? He's not Mr. Perfect. He's a control freak. And the only reason Isabella has been spending more time in Nashville is because she's 18 and considered legal. Do you think possibly -- maybe she got as far away from the man as she could? He's a weird weird person with a HUGE Napolean complex.
Even if Tom "kept" the kids, Nicole is not poor to hire a lawyer and get joint custody! Don't see how scientology has anything to do with Nicole NOT living in LA to be close to the kids! She moved all the way to Nashville to start a whole new family!
I do hate to break it to you but Tom has kept the kids in Los Angeles and minimized the time they see their Mom. I'm sure when the ten year time frame passes and Tom trades up, he will take Suri from Katie too...Please don't praise the Scientologists and their isolation techniques. It's really reprehensible what they do to families.
She's the only REAL woman in Hollywood. No huge bazookas or big lips. She raises her own kid. (Unlike fake Nicole Kidman who had nothing to do with her adopted kids - Katie Holmes is raising them, too) Katie is gorgeous.
