Unlike their Twilight characters, Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's love affair may not stand the test of time.
Pattinson tells the April issue of Vanity Fair that the attention surrounding his real-life romance with his onscreen love interest has put a strain on their relationship.

"It's just very traumatic," the 24-year-old Brit complains. "When this is over, the media will lose interest. There'll be nothing to say. It won't fit into a headline anymore. It won't fit into a template."
Even before their secretive romance began, Pattinson admits he was a fan of Stewart's body of work.
"Kristen is very focused on being an actress. I mean, that's what she is -- she's an actress. Whereas I...I just don't really know," the actor admits of his 20-year-old flame.

"She's cool. Even before I knew her I thought she was a really good actress. Like, I saw Into the Wild, and I thought she was really good in that," he raves. "I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is."
His private life aside, Pattinson also admits to having an unlikely fondness for Charlie Sheen.
"I like crazy people who don't give a f***," he explains, adding that he's a fan of the 45-year-old actor's "little escapades."
"I never change the channel in my trailer. I just watch reruns of House of Payne and Two and a Half Men. I love Cops -- I think it's my favorite TV show," he laughs. "God, I sound like such a loser."
Not that anyone could blame Pattinson for wanting to stay out of the spotlight.

"There's nothing you can do about it. That's the way it is," Pattinson explains of the mega-fame Twilight thrust upon him. "But it is weird being part of that, kind of representing something you don't particularly like. God, I just really head-butted it."
"This thing with everyone knowing you, it's weird, because people have this one-sided relationship where they look at your picture and feel they know you more than someone they actually know," the actor continues. "I don't really know myself that well."

oh and by the way i love charlie Sheen..i watch him on two and a half men alllll the time so shut up!!
Personally, I love them both... she is an awesome actress! And it's comments like this that get people all upset...so what if they are famous, im pretty sure its not all fun and games...they are people too! Who care What problems they have just leave them be and stop being so nosey..
I have never seen people complain so much about being famous. Practically the whole cast complains and whines about fame. If it wasn't for these people who go see your movies (I'm not one of them) you wouldn't be successful and have money. If you wanted to be just an actor and not a movie star you should have stayed in England and performed on the stage. And if you don't want people and the media to talk about who you date, you should only date regular girls who are not famous. Stop complaining. If you don't want to be famous, don't get into show business.
@Heather: You're so right!!!
I don't think Rob Pattinson is handsome at all! Kristen is very beautiful though.
so jealous of these two!! they look soo happy together!
i'm sure he meant the whole hoopla and their attention to their relationship has put a strain on it. I doubt that it's going last beyond twilight anyway. Once THE Twilight fizzle so is the relationship.
If he's a fan of Charlie Sheen he needs his head checked. He and Kristen were brought to fame by the teenies mostly, because BOTH of them stink as actors.
These interviews are done months in advance. I highly doubt he would have made that comment on Charlie Sheen with his crazy last few weeks. And yes...this interview has nothing to do with a relationship...sad "reporting".
His answers do not allude to his relationship being traumatic at all...who wrote this at US? It is the attention and fame that is traumatic..his quote that bagins with "When this is over," is referring to when Twilight is over, not his relationship. He is being vulnerable about his insecurities as an actor and fame, not at all referring to his relationship. I get annoyed when magazines such as yourself bend the truth and twist words to make up your own headlines. Lazy and unprofessional.
I love the character of Edward Cullen, i think he's doing an awesome job as Edward. Her performance as Bella is pretty good, but i have to agree with a couple of you about her character seeming the same. Either way....I LOVED the Twilight Saga books...and I LOVE the movies. I fancy those damn pale skinned vampires...guilty!!
This guy reminds me of an English Fop. He's like, straight out of 'Interview With The Vampire'.
She definitely is an awful actress... I remember not noticing it at first when I was watching Twilight... but then it was pointed out to me an I noticed... oh it's horrible! She's the same character in EVERY movie, aside from her horrible acting.
Like he can act. He was a double Razzie nominee this year. The Razzies will wait for his next efforts. KStew isn't the best but she's better than him. He always sounds stupid. Charlie Sheen blurb will get him in the news. Monstrous cover.
Apparently he loves her so much that he's willing to lie about her talent. She is a horrendous actress. (And no I'm not a fan of him either)...
@colleen- look at heath ledger (rip). he wasn't exactly overjoyed when he had to do an american teen comedy (10 things i hate about you) to break into hollywood. but he made the best of it
@colleen- i think what he doesn't like is how out of hand this whole twilight thing became.
@Bea Fuentes. Exactly. They seem to specialize in twisting truth!
Exactly Bea!
