Ronda, you rebel, you. UFC fighter Ronda Rousey stripped down to absolutely nothing for the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue — and the photos are insane!
In images obtained by TMZ, the 28-year-old athlete poses for the coveted magazine in just body paint. The black and white paint features an animal print and covers her chest and derriere. The look was inspired by We Are Handsome’s “The Fighter” one-piece, which retails for $255.
According to the site, Rousey shot the crazy-sexy spread on Petite Martinique island, which is off the Grenada coast. (The mag released a teaser clip from the issue last November.)
Sports Illustrated confirmed the news via Instagram on Thursday, January 7. “The secret is out,” its official account captioned a pic of the brunette stunner. “@rondarousey will be back for 2016 in NOTHING but body paint!”
Rousey also shared her excitement and revealed that makeup artist Joanne Gair helped her on the big day. “Secret’s out – so here’s a free preview of this year’s 2016 SI swimsuit issue … I was one of the lucky few chosen to be a canvas for a hand painted masterpiece by @joannegair that took 14 hours to put on and photographed by the brilliant @fredericpinet,” she tweeted on Thursday. “These are just behind the scenes shots taken with a phone’s camera, can’t wait to show you guys the final pics the when the issue hits stands!”
As previously reported, fans first speculated that Rousey would be featured when Sports Illustrated editor MJ Day posted a sneak peek on Tuesday. The photo showed the backside of a female who had the very same wrist tattoo as the star.
