Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a romantic, grown-up evening -- in Lauren Conrad's homeland! -- on Saturday.

Before the pair finally took their romance public at an Oscars after-party on Sunday night, Bieber, 16, and Gomez, 18, stayed at a penthouse suite at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, Calif. (just outside Laguna Beach), a source tells UsMagazine.com.
During their stay at the posh, five-star resort, the twosome were "affectionate, cuddling and holding hands" while on a stroll along the beach, the source added.
Gomez and Bieber, who's about to embark on a worldwide tour, capped off the night with a four-star dinner at the resort's eatery Stonehill Tavern.

The next night, the couple arrived hand-in-hand at the the Vanity Fair Oscars party at the Sunset Tower Hotel -- their first red carpet appearance together since they began dating in December.

Actually people since he is 16 and she is under 20 it is NOT ILLEGAL for them to date. Now IF he was 15 and she was say 21 or older than Yes that COULD be illegal DEPENDING ON THE STATE they are in together. ALL states have DIFFERENT laws about this. Like Indiana for instance if a person is 16 than they are able to make own decisions about who they date so there would NOT be ANY thing illegal about him dating her. Now if he was UNDER 16 than yes she could get in trouble BUT ONLY if HIS PARENTS pressed charges.

Wow...some of the comments here are brutal, lol! She's not even 2 yrs older than him, that's nothing. I wonder how many of his 'fans' here are more than 2 years younger than him and would hook up w/ him in a heartbeat.
