Shania Twain Gushes About "Amazing" Engagement

Yep, Shania Twain's getting married -- and she's ready to share her joy with the world!
As first reported by UsMagazine.com on Monday, the country star is set to wed Frederic Thiebaud. Swiss-born Nestle executive Thiebaud, 40, is the ex-husband of Twain's former best friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud -- the woman Robert "Mutt" Lange, Twain's husband of 14 years, abruptly left her for in May 2008. Twain, 45, and Frederic leaned on one another in the wake of their devastating divorces, and a romance developed.

On Tuesday, Twain confirmed the engagement news in an emotional open letter to fans at her official website.
The engaged star wrote:
The people who make my life the most joyful are the ones I am able to lean on because of my own humanness. In the last two and a half years of adjusting to life after separation and divorce, I needed to lean on others more often than I was accustomed to. These people have been gifts, and I am fortunate to have so many of these beautiful people - friends, family and beloved fans, who's support I cherish more deeply with each day that passes. Now another year is about to pass, and I would like to thank everyone who helped me believe that new beginnings are possible and that love can be trusted. Thank you!
