Enough is enough? Or romantic?

In the past few weeks, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Heidi Klum and Seal and Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have all renewed their vows. Carey, Cannon, Klum and Seal have told UsMagazine.com they do it every year.

Said Cannon, "This is the third ring I have to buy... It'll be something different. Something good." (Carey's engagement ring from Jacob & Co. Jewelers reportedly cost $2.5 million.)

I think celebs who renew their vows either need PR or are on the brink of breaking up.

They are soo bored with their lives and want to be noticed for something. Even with a lot of money they still can't find anything to do. Sad....

Personally I think when people renew their vows it's because they are grasping at straws trying to fix a relationship that will eventually fail anyways. It's like a last ditch effort to try to rekindle the romance that has extinguished...not fizzled. I say save the money for the divorce papers not the worthless renewal. Seal & Heidi might be the exception just because they've made it a tradition from the beginning and I sense that they are truly happy with one another.

Renewing vows for the right reason is okay, but these stars (most of them) are trying to cover up problems in thier marriage; people are not STUPID! We could care less about their renewing vows. Tori and Dean - what a laugh!

  • May 12, 2010 - 3:44pm It's immature

Like they can't stay committed to each other without trying to recapture the wedding day every year. Pathetic.

if you do it once it's cute and romantic, but every year like heidi klum and seal? that is so unnecessary.

Most wedding vows are made before God and don't "need" renewing. If they are then broken, you have broken a covenant with God. Then bad things generally start happening in your life(ask Jesse James, Tiger, et al.) The other "marriages" are really just personal/legal commitments to start with and it doesn't matter if they are renewed or not. Either the parties are faithful and working on the commitment,or they aren't. I think, generally, that the vow renewals are just another way for Hollywierds to say "look at me"!

With the economy the way it is, I think this is disgusting! Throw it in our faces that these stars can spend an obscene amount of money to "renew" their vows! What, they forgot the 1st ones or is there trouble in paradise and they need to remind themselves?!?!

  • May 12, 2010 - 11:31am Private

Renewing their vows is not going to fix their problems.

  • May 12, 2010 - 11:06am db

I think they are all bored and looking for something else to do.

I agree with Shell; 5 or 10 is okay but every year (I love 'yall to death, but yes I'm talking about you Heidi and Seal) is overkill.

Dont care, thats sweet, since every year its like ur cancer is in remission. dont know when the happiness will end. and Tori eat a sandwhich . Sorry but baby, You are really ugly and being that skinny makes you look older and your eyes pop out more.

I think its romantic at the 10 year mark and I could see it at the 5 year mark. Every year overboard. You don't have to prove nothing.

  • May 12, 2010 - 7:52am Marleen

If you renew it feels like there is an expiration date on it..very unromantic in my view! Do it right the first time! :)

  • May 12, 2010 - 12:20am Jul

I think for some it's a last ditch effort to save their relationship. Remember Jon and Kate renewed their vows.

  • May 11, 2010 - 7:13pm Kelly

They're all a pathetic attempt to stay in front of the media spotlight. It has nothing to do with "commitment to each other" and everything to do with "commitment to their careers". If you aren't doing something that showcases your talent, showcase YOURSELF. Pathetic, but what more could you expect from a pack of media wh0res.....

For anniversaries after the 25th, that's when I prefer it!
