The 20-year-old abstinence ambassador showed off her svelte new shape at the Candie's Foundation 2011 benefit gala on Tuesday, complete with a dark new 'do and a figure-hugging one-shoulder dress.

Her weight loss wasn't the only thing that has people talking. Gawker, Perez Hilton and The Frisky have speculated that the single mom got plastic surgery, noting her angular jawline and more pronounced cheekbones.

No word on how the single mom slimmed down -- or whether she went under the knife -- but Bristol was happy to tell Us Weekly about her two-year-old son Tripp's latest milestones.

"He's talking and running around," she told Us. "Right now he's taking skating lessons, so that's something fun that we get to go to. I love everything about him!"
Still, being a teen mom and the daughter of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin hasn't always been easy.

"There are a lot of things that I love about being a mom, but you know what? Being a teen mom is not ideal at all and I wish that I could have had Tripp when I was in a married relationship," Bristol added. "I'm going to let Tripp know how hard it was for me to be a teen parent and how not ideal it is. I know that he'll learn."

66Bristol made a mistake as a teenager.She has more than made up for what she missed in school and got her degree.But when I look at that precious child she has gained something people who can't have children would give their right arm for.Why don't we all leave her alone.Her face looks beautiful and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.We all have enough problems of our own to keep our noses out of hers.She is paying the price in full for being the daughter of Sarah Palin, BUT, it still is her Mom and I'm sure she loves her very much.So lets all cool out and be kind.It is just as easy to say something nice as it is to say something bad.Have a good day.
Hey, I agree with @Karen Carpenter-Hall .... if I had that kind of money, I'd probably get a few things done too. I just think it's sad Bristol completely changed the way she looks. When I saw the new picture of her, I didn't even recognize her.

how could Bristol Palin be the abstinence ambassador when she didn't practice abstinence? Oh that's right she is practicing it now so we can ignore that Tripp is here. America's media is too hypocritical when it comes to some people because if Bristol was another race and her mother not set-up to run for president then she would be getting trashed like most teen mothers. Bristol Palin is not something to aspire to and I don't care what anyone says about it!!!!!!
Half the people in here have kids out of wedlock, or are shacking up, or having sex without protection or birth control. Plenty of skanks out there. I think she looks good, but too much make up. She pays a lot for who her Mom is.
Just like some vile people below on this comment page there are negative people that have talked horribly about Bristol starting when she was 17 years old. If I had read the things written about her when I was between 17-21 years old, It would have broken me. If she had surgery, she didnt need it, she was already a beautiful girl but the way our world is now, jealous people with nothing more to do than hurt others have said many mean things and they are all bullies but the sad thing is.....they got to her because she is young. We need to be lifting people up (especially teens) instead of hating. She was very brave to take on motherhood when she could have been selfish.

Heather: Why so hung up on DWTS? She probably didn't lose weight because she didn't amend her eating habits. If she consumed more or equal amount of calories than she burned off, then she wouldn't have lost weight. She obviously went on some medical diet or Nutrisystem type thing (I don't think she got this way from celery and carrot sticks). She definitely had professional help losing the weight in my opinion. But why does everyone harp on not losing weight on the dance show? She obviously didn't put forth the effort back then. Maybe being made fun of for her appearance finally got to her. Sure looks like it.
Saw Bristol on GMA yesterday. She looked drop dead gorgeous. Why all the hate. Jealous MUCH? Leave her the hell alone people. Especially the lying, lame ass media!
Looking at other sites, I think it is from the weight loss, and a tremendous amount of make up.

i'm not buying that it's just weight loss. If you would have asked me whose picture that was, i would have said i haven't a clue. Her chin is pointed and even her eyes look different. She's definitely spent some money on that face..doesn't look a thing like her.
All you people insisting that it is just weight lose...I am pretty sure she would have lost that on DWTS, if she were going to lose any. In fact, she seemed to gain every week on the show.
She's lost a lot of weight, and her makeup is different. The chin does appear different, but it may not be surgery, in looking at other pictures of her.
I think its just the make-up and her hair has more volume..
