Calling this woman fat or chubby just ads to our society's problems by distorting reality. A woman with a body like this has been admired for thousands of years. Healthy, talented, great work ethic, entertaining, athletic and graceful describe this lady.

Man I sure wish I were a fat size 4. If that's fat then my size 8 is bordering on morbidly obese. Seriously people need to worry about themselves and less about others.

@ straybeat...I'm guessing that would be the other way around, pendejo. If you saw Cheryl in a bar, she wouldn't give you the time of day. The Hollywood image apparently caters to the undeveloped, inexperienced teenage male perspective...that being, if it isn't tan, doesn't weigh 100 pounds or less, has giant, unnatural balloon-like breasts, and blonde hair, it isn't attractive. It comes from a vantage point of having no clue about what is truly attractive in a woman, or what beauty really is. What the "critics" never mention is that those teenage boys eventually grow up (usually), and their tastes change. The pubescent teens that once saw women through a narrow filter now see beauty in most women, for many different reasons. Therein lies the folly in the whole premise, especially that young girls take their body image cues from such a warped and distorted perspective. Cheryl Burke is gorgeous woman. There is nothing remotely unflattering about her or any pic I've ever seen of her, including the ones that received so much unwarranted press. The same goes for Tyra, JL Hewitt, and the rest that continue to catch hell for looking perfectly normal. There's nothing wrong with them. What's wrong - completely irrational, unrealistic, and WRONG - is the media-driven Hollywood "ideal", and anyone who buys into it.

This pix of Cheryl is not a flattering one. But we all, men and women, know she has a bangin' body. Again, give some men saline inflated boobs placed on the bony skeletal chest cavity of a female who has bones protruding their skins (and a flowing mane of blonde hair) as they hold this abnormal image of women as attractive/desirable. A normal woman in excellent shape like Cheryl is "fat" to these men....something is wrong with the men who make these comments...nothing is wrong with Cheryl. I hate that she is sort of playing into their B.S. by saying "maybe Im not at my thinnest...."

I don't know whether you can really consider her fat or not, but she is DEFINITELY not a size 4, unless she buys clothes only from companies that use big-time vanity sizing. With normal sizing, I think she is about a size 10 or 12.

Sorry, I don't play the "curvy" game. Anna Nicole Smith at 23 was curvy, Anna Nicole Smith at 33 was fat. If you can't deal with that drop the pounds! And for the record, I'm old enough to be your grandpa's big brother.

  • August 17, 2010 - 11:44am straybeat

All you women may think Cheryl isn't fat, but if I saw her in a bar I wouldn't talk to her. She's too fat for me!

  • August 17, 2010 - 3:45am nellydia

  • July 30, 2010 - 11:07am taratt79

wow! If a size 4 is fat then 99% of America is morbidly obese! This is insane!

  • July 30, 2010 - 10:05am Kelly

Size 4 is not fat. Society has lost it's mind.

  • July 30, 2010 - 3:44am Sweetnyss

If camera's were true to weight and it didn't add about 20 lbs, then she would probably look like a size 4 in pictures and on T.V.. However, because camera's add so much weight they have to be really little in order to look little on T.V. I think if we actually weighed women who are hot on T.V. We'd be disgusted by their child like weight. They're prob all 0's and that's disgusting. Couple more lbs and they'll have to wear juniors clothing.

  • July 30, 2010 - 12:48am SummerRainStorm

She doesn't look fat, she looks curvy but that's just me, do people have to look like a skeleton to be beautiful?? I can just imagine a skeleton asking if the pant's they wear make their bony butt look fat. Really??

  • July 29, 2010 - 11:33pm Ronda

Ok folks, clothing sizing varies from company to company. The way I typically see it...the more money I spend on clothing, the smaller size I wear. I also think cheryl is a shorter woman too. A size 4 on a 5 ft. tall woman might look a little different than on a 5'8" woman.

After seeing comments on a Dancing With the Stars message board (one person called her a "hogzilla"), the size-4 dancer said last year: "Maybe I'm not at my thinnest right now, but it's a little bit like, 'Wow, do you really think I'm fat?'"
