You’ll never see Haylie Duff fumbling through her diaper bag to find the changing pad or baby wipes. “I’m into simple, low maintenance mom travel,” the Real Girls Kitchen star told Us Weekly Video. That means Duff, whose daughter Ryan is 17 months, carefully curates her washable Ju-Ju-Be satchel — and now she’s sharing her secrets with Us.
One must-have item: a miniature My Little Pony with a top knot to keep Ryan busy in restaurants and on the road. “It feels like Ryan’s twin,” the 31-year-old joked to Us of the toy. “It has big eyes and lots of hair.”
And Duff never leaves home without a pair of baby sunglasses. “Ryan is quite the fashionista!” says the actress. “I wish they made them in my size because I’d love to be twinning out with her.” (Watch Duff unpack Ryan’s bag in the video above to find out the genius way she organizes diapers and why she can’t live without disposable placemats!)
Duff says her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg, is just as diligent about staying organized. “Matty is kind of a rock star dad when it comes to packing the diaper bag,” she gushed. “He knows everything that goes into it and even packs the snacks.”
Pretty soon Ryan will be making food requests! “Ryan has a couple of words like ‘mama’ and ‘dada,’” the Haylie’s America star told Us in August. “She also says ‘baby’ because she has a baby doll she’s obsessed with. But mostly it’s just tons of blabbing. We call her the Minion because she sounds like a Minion running around the house!”
