Nursing rocks! Alanis Morissette let it all hang out in honor of World Breastfeeding Week on Saturday, Aug. 2. The rocker, 40, posted a throwback picture with her son Ever, now 3, breastfeeding during his infancy.
"family on tour ;) europe 2012 #worldbreastfeedingweek #isupportyou @msjamielynne #everlovedhischakraglasses @jaygordonmdfaap," she captioned the photo on Instagram.
Morissette and rapper Mario "MC Souleye" Treadway married in May 2010, and welcomed their son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway later that year on Christmas Day.
Since becoming a mom, the "You Oughta Know" singer has been a fierce advocate of breastfeeding. In 2012 she talked about her decision on The Billy Bush Show, saying, "I'll breastfeed, and I'll be breastfeeding until my son is finished and he weans. I think it affords the child, when he grows up, to have a lot less therapy to go to. For me, I protect his safety and his well-being and his attachment. That stage of development is a very important stage."
