Amanda Peet Debuts Baby Girl!
Surely, Amanda Peet is having a wonderful Mother's Day.
Earlier this week, the Please Give actress, 38, showed their first photos of her newborn daughter Molly on the Late Show With David Letterman, Britain's Daily Mail points out.
"This our first video of Molly June, she's a few days old. It breaks my heart," she told him of her little girl, born Apr. 19 in NYC. "This is the video where we realize she's in the state of life where you basically think that everything is a boob."

As for the baby's name, Peet said she and her screenwriter-husband David Benioff "had a hard time" picking it and "were fighting about it a lot. You can't leave the hospital until you sign a paper with the name, so we got right up to the point where the nurse was trying to usher us out of the hospital and the car seat was in the car, and we still couldn't choose between Maya June and Molly June," she explained.

"Finally David my husband tore off two bits of paper and wrote a name on each and put them behind his back, and I chose one of them and it was Maya - then I got really upset!" she said.

The two -- who also have a daughter Frances, 3 -- then quickly agreed on Molly.
Peet hit the red carpet just eight days after giving birth.
"So far, so good!" she told UsMagazine.com when asked about her baby girl. "She's great. I'm in love with her!"

21Magical moment...great photo!
So cute.
My daughter's name is Molly. It's beautiful and classic. You won't regret the decision! Congrats!
this woman gets on my nerves.
double standard - Get over yourself! Since when does ANYONE owe you or anyone else an explanation as to why or how they introduce their new babies. Its a happy occasion. I hate people like you who find something negative everywhere you turn. Just because you're jaded doesn't mean we all are. If you are so offended, why comment at all, why are you even browsing the rags?????? Its all about money, right.
to "double standard" that's because she's not out there doing EVERYTHING for publicity like some other celebs. i know her for her movies, not for her personal life, that's why i don't find this pic to be staged
I think that this is a beautiful picture and it doesn't look staged. It is very sweet.
finally a normal baby name. such a cute baby and good choice on the name. congratulations!
For once a real celebrity. This is a great looking woman. I saw her on Letterman the other night and she was radient.
soooo... are they frenching?
((((Double Standard)))) You are so right!!!
This picture is so sweet...my newborn used to try to "nurse" on anything in reach...even my husband's nose
funny how people think this is cute, and yet other celebs who debut their kids are in it for the money. I guess if you like the person, then it is okay but if you don't then it is a bad thing. So double standards. And just as sad, since you don't know any of these people.
Molly Ringwald. My favorite. That baby is adorable.
Should have gone with Maya, I have a Mya. That's what she picked, should have stuck with it, but Molly is adorable too. Congrats to you and your family on the birth of your precious daughter!
Aww, so cute!
baby Molly is adorable and it's so sweet that the picture was posted on mothers day
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww so nice and to have that posted on mommys day too
Adorable. Molly's a great choice! I love it. They won't regret it. Everyone has their own opinion but I think it has a lot more character than Maya. Maya's a nice name but there are quite a few little Mayas running around these days.
The pic is adorable! And either Molly or Maya is a cute name.
