Ever show up at a restaurant, bar or other venue only to find out the place is closed to for a private event? Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner did—except instead of moving on to somewhere else, the A-list couple and their son Samuel, 2, stuck around and crashed the party! Detroit Free Press reports that the spouses and their youngest popped up at children's play center/cafe Detroit Kid City this past Sunday, July 13.
When told that the venue was closed for a private joint kids' birthday bash, Affleck, 41, and Garner, 42, asked if they could stick around for little Samuel to play; the hosts, the paper reports, were happy to accomodate the superstar family.
One major, major bonus? The kid bash in question was Superman themed! (Affleck and his family are in the Michigan metropolis while he films his role as the Caped Crusader in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.)
"I spoke with Ben for 10 or 15 minutes and he was very pleased with the facility. He was very interested in getting a Detroit Kid City out in L.A.," Detroit Kid City's Garrett Dixon told the outlet. "He said they had a blast and will definitely be in contact with us."
Samuel's older sisters Violet, 8, and Seraphina, 5, apparently weren't on hand for Sunday's fun. Detroit Free Press also reports that Mark Wahlberg stopped by the venue with his own brood while filming Transformers last year.
