Beyonce made a huge announcement outside L.A.'s Nokia Theater at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards: She's pregnant!

The Grammy-winning superstar, 29, covered up her bod in a gorgeous, loose-fitting red gown by Lanvin -- and announced her huge news to photographers. (The singer's rep subsequently confirmed the pregnancy to Us Weekly.)
It will be the first child for the singer and Jay-Z, her husband of three years.
Indeed, the couple has had babies on the brain for a while. "I always said I would have a baby at 30," Beyonce teased on a June 27 appearance on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight. The "Best Thing I Never Had" singer turns 30 September 4.
She and rapper-mogul Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter), 41, tied the knot in NYC in April 2008.

I agree with Barbara. Millions of women have babies. Why the big deal. It is really a shame that stars have to be so egocentric that they have to use the limelight to bring attention to themselves. My question is how much will they sell their pictures for?? So sad for all others that are not famous, out there working hard and not having the time and money she has. It is much easier with her type of life.

@ Glo Deanda what right do you have to say that Jay Z is not a good man? Do you know him personally if not then leave him alone, just because he raps about that stuff does not mean that he will not be a good dad. If that is the case then all rappers are considered bad people. How about the actors that play movies that kill people and beat females are they considered bad people? I do not think so, it is part of their job. How the person is one stage and how they are off stage is two different people. I view Jay-Z as a down to earth guy that loves his wife. I do not think he is a bad person for making a living rapping. The only thing that counts is how he treats Beyonce and the baby. I say congrats to both of them. It will be a beautiful baby. I happen to like them both.

@ RickRoberts and others: I checked Shenelle Scott's site and she says herself the little boy IS NOT Jay-Z's son. If you're gonna call the man a deadbeat dad at least be sue he actually has children.
