Celine Dion Names Her Twin Sons!

Introducing...Nelson and Eddy Angelil!
The names of Celine Dion's newborn twin boys are no longer a secret.
The French-Canadian singer announced what she and husband Rene Angelil will call their sons in a Canadian TV interview taped Oct. 13, 10 days before she gave birth.

As reported at CTV, the couple explained their name picks: "Nelson" is a tribute to South African anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela; "Eddy" is named after French songwriter Eddy Marnay.
Marnay, who died in 2003, helped launch Dion's music career after he heard her sing at just 13 years old and agreed to produce a song for her.

Dion, 42, and Angelil, 68, are already parents to son Rene-Charles, 9. Nelson and Eddy were conceived after five failed IVF attempts.

"When Saturday at 11:11 came, and they showed us the first baby that was crying, we were crying," Angelil confessed to Canadian TV show etalk earlier this week. "It was a very emotional moment, and even though we didn't speak to each other, we were both thinking about the time it took. We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys."

I cannot believe how some people get on here and bash a MARRIED couple who are actually IN LOVE because they decide they want to have children. Who cares how old or young they are? They are able to provide a warm, loving, and financial stable home for their children. Sounds like some people are just freaking jealous!

What the hell is this hag having babies with her grandpa. Funny how no one makes any noise about how old the man is, but go crazy with Demi and Ashton. Double standards, I will never understand them. I feel bad for the kids though, the man is going to 73 when they start going to school. Babies are great, but goodness, she isnt the first woman to have babies or the last one. Celine Dion is so overrated.

Good thing she explained it or people would think after Nelson Eddy, the musical star of the 1930's and '40s. And yes, at least they didn't name them after where they were conceived...wouldn't that have been a clinic anyway?
some celebs have always given their kids normal names what about Ava Sambora or Peter Elkind both of whom are children or at least grandchildren of Celebrities. Eddy is a diminutive form of Edward which has been a common name in the industry for decades and being named after where you were conceived is a sweet thought also. besides celebrities have given their kids crazy names for decades what about having a number as you middle name like Olivia Dahl did
What a class act Celine is! Naming your children after something that means something other than where you concieved them, imagine that!
