Christina Applegate: My Morning Sickness Has Gotten "So Bad"

Christina Applegate says it's taken her some time to get used to being pregnant.
"Everything you read in the books, I got it all," she said Tuesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live! "The cravings ... the morning sickness, I had for a really long time, the psychosis. The morning sickness is so bad, Oh, my God!"
At times, the actress, 38, said her pregnancy has made her "a little cuckoo."
She said she finds herself "yelling for no reason, it's out of control." "It's almost out of body," she went on. "You're stepping back from yourself and you're watching this insane monster in front of you that's you. And you want to stop her, but she is kind of fun to watch. That's sort of what's been happening."

As for names, she said she and fiance, rocker Martyn Lenoble, are "gonna wait" for the baby's arrival before settling on anything.
Last week, Applegate -- who declared she was breast cancer-free two years ago -- stepped out for the first time since announcing her pregnancy.

Her trick to dressing a bump? Wear high heels!
"It offsets the impending growth of width," she joked.

44I was having pretty bad morning sickness, but I bought the seasick bracelet, very inexpensive, and it kind of helped with it. I tried ginger and it didn't work. Meanwhile, during the sickness and pain, I created the pregnantandfunny website to help us have some fun
WRITING IN CAPS HELPS WITH HIS ANNOYING @$$ FONT...ANYWAY, I LOVE HER
Poor girl... I know how she feels. Pregnancy looked good on me but I was so sick and crazy. Totally worth it in the end, though!
PREGNANCY AFFECTS WOMEN DIFFERENTLY. SOME WOMEN GET NO MORNING SICKNESS AT ALL AND JUST BREEZES THROUGH THEIR PREGNANCY WHILE OTHERS LIKE CHRISTINA WILL BE SICKER THAN A DOG THROUGHOUT. BUT HANG IN THERE CHRIS, THE RIDE MAY GET BUMPIER OR IT MAY SMOOTH ITSELF OUT AND YOU GO ALONG. BLESSINGS!!!
high heels? aren't her feet swollen?
Monkey mama: Christina Applegate had a double mastectomy and full reconstruction of both breasts! Both of her breasts were removed. I am not certain there is any breast tissue left aside from the folds of skin left for her reconstruction surgeries. Anyway, becoming pregnant after only two years cancer-free-even if the second mastectomy was preventative...she is a brave woman. I am not particularly religious, but I will still keep my fingers crossed and pray for her continued good health and especially for no recurrences! Baby will be fine whether or not CA can breastfeed.
Morning sickness is often a sign of a healthy pregnancy. I didn't have any at all, and miscarried my first pregnancy. On the other hand, my sister had a perfectly healthy baby without any nausea at all. So, who knows?
I'm curious where people get the idea that she can't breastfeed? She's been cancer free for TWO YEARS, so the drugs are more than out of her system. Depending on how much of her breast tissue was left, she could totally still nurse! I know many women who have nursed after breast augmentation. It just depends on how much damage was done to the milk ducts, which is something none of us is going to know!
Get over it already. It comes with being pregnant.
Hey Marc, exactly what would you know about pregnancy?I've had four babies and each pregnancy was completely different. Two of them, I had horrible morning sickness. Two, I didn't have any. The first three, I was back in my size 5's two weeks after giving birth. The last baby is six years old and I'm still trying to get rid of my pooch. Don't blame Heidi and Angie for being naturally slim, blame your wife's genetics, or eating habits if she's having trouble. Congrats Christina! Wishing you and the babe all the best.
Had that morning sickness to. It sucks. I ate maybe once or twice a day for 3 months. Its just keep coming back up, even water.
Congrulations to her and her boyfriend
I had pre eclampsia, it was very scary, gained 75 lbs because I couldn't even stand up longer than 5 minutes. Pregnancy was horrible for me and even though I've lost all the weight my body will never be the same again. That being said, I love my son and would do it all over again if I had to. Not every pregnancy is a walk in the park and there's absolutely nothing wrong with admitting it.
i was like that with my two pregnancy's have faith
i was the same way with both my pregnancy's sick everyday until the 6 month have faith i know it is hard
Marc I think YOU need to get a life too. It's just as stupid to criticize women who don't love being pregnant as it is to criticize women that do. I know women that have had multiple children and still look fabulous and feel wonderful while pregnant (and the never had lipo, tummy tucks, etc.) Some people really are just blessed, also these women have chefs and trainers that keep them healthy through out their pregnancies (plus I'm sure having the scrutiny of the whole world watching helps you try to bounce back pretty quickly). While other women see it as an excuse to literally eat for 2. They take care of themselves. Don't put people down for being happy and beautiful. Its just pathetic.
Oh, Honey, I know how you feel! I was sick for four solid months with each of my kids. Not just in the morning, but all day for four solid months! I got so worn down that I thought I was going to punch anyone else who dared suggest that just saltines or peppermints would help. They never did! Get plenty of rest, not because it will make you feel less nauseous, but because being nauseous all the time wears you out physically and mentally. Good luck!
being pregnant is different for all some it may be great others not so much woman are so funny and weird about opinions if the woman is having a bad time then don't judge give sympathy. Because mine was a total nightmare stayed sick from 2nd month to 8th. I would be driving and have to vomit and it wasn't just morning it was ALL FREAKING DAY. So for MS. PLEASANT Alison everyone is not that lucky
Totally feel her pain... my baby is almost 5 months old now and I was sick from the time I hit the 6 week pregnant mark until I delivered her! In the end though, it's all worth it once you get to meet your baby. Congrats to her and she looks beautiful.
Pregnancy is a nightmare. Worse experience of my life. Labor lasted 50 hours. Did it once and never again.
