David Arquette: Why We Named Our Daughter "Coco"

Why did Courteney Cox and David Arquette name their 5-year-old daughter Coco?
"It's sort of an abbreviation of 'COurtney COx' ... 'CoCo'," Arquette, 38, explained Tuesday on Lopez Tonight.

"It's been a lot of fun," he said. "I love it." The horror film series has special meaning for him: He met his wife Cox, 45, shooting the first installment in 1996.

"I stalked her," he said. "She would go away and fly back. I was stuck at the hotel and then I would wait for her car to come and as soon as she got in the door, I would [pick up the phone]. 'What are you doing?' and she's like 'Are you stalking me?' and I was like, 'Exactly!'"

He said he didn't intend to play the role of goofy cop "Deputy Dewey."
"When I first went out, they wanted me for the part of 'Billy' ... Skeet Ulrich ended up doing that," he said. "I was like, 'I wanna play Dewey!' He was like, 'That's a nothing role, what are you talking about?' And I said, 'I get to kiss Courtney Cox ... I wanna play that role!'"

Well, for someone dissing someone else on the way they speak, Miss Pickens sure does seem to have Valley girl talk down pat.
I saw this on Lopez Tonight last night. It was so cute! I think David and Courteney's relationship is the perfect example of a healthy celebrity marriage. They don't let the fame get to their head and they don't expose their child to the media. Other celebs should follow in their footsteps!!
Hate to break it to you Us, but this is really old news, this was explained when Coco was born.
And I was all like, into her, you know, and um, she was like, not into me at first and you know, I was like DUDE, you gotta come to my room and she was like into it later and then we were all like LETS GET MARRIED and I was like saying DUDE OKAY and she was all like "but you gotta improve your English" and I was all like um, what?!
Gees, I figured out why she named their daughter Coco as soon as I heard it. It was so obvious. Cute though.
Okay, THIS is a Hollywood/ celeb couple I would truly, truly be shocked and saddened to hear infidelity rumors about! They seem like the real thing, meaning a great marriage.
It is interesting how they named their daughter, Coco! Also, it's nice that working on the Scream Series has special meaning for David, because that is how he & Courteney first met!
As much as I don't care for the name at least it has some meaning behind it! I'm all for that as we gave our first born two middle names that were much like mine and my husbands first names. I heard a few months back that Scream 4 was coming out and I freaked! I can't wait and I'm super excited to see it! And I like Dewey. I couldn't have pictured him playing the killer. He's to sweet for that! :)
