Why did Courteney Cox and David Arquette name their 5-year-old daughter Coco?

"It's sort of an abbreviation of 'COurtney COx' … 'CoCo'," Arquette, 38, explained Tuesday on Lopez Tonight.

He is now at work on Scream 4, which is slated to hit screens next April.

"It's been a lot of fun," he said. "I love it." The horror film series has special meaning for him: He met his wife Cox, 45, shooting the first installment in 1996.

"I stalked her," he said. "She would go away and fly back. I was stuck at the hotel and then I would wait for her car to come and as soon as she got in the door, I would [pick up the phone]. 'What are you doing?' and she's like 'Are you stalking me?' and I was like, 'Exactly!'"

He said he didn't intend to play the role of goofy cop "Deputy Dewey."

"When I first went out, they wanted me for the part of 'Billy' … Skeet Ulrich ended up doing that," he said. "I was like, 'I wanna play Dewey!' He was like, 'That's a nothing role, what are you talking about?' And I said, 'I get to kiss Courtney Cox … I wanna play that role!'"
