Actor Gary Busey, 65, and his 40-year-old girlfriend Steffanie Sampson welcomed their first baby together early Tuesday morning.

The Oscar nominee (for 1978's Buddy Holly Story) named the boy -- born at 6:40 a.m. -- Luke Samson Busey. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz.

"This feels like a dream," the couple said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. "We feel so blessed and are overwhelmed with happiness at Luke's arrival."

maybe you people should read fewer tabloids and more science journals. According to scientific geneticists... males who father children late in life.. increase the very life span of the human species itself. Humans are programmed by evolution to die at the end of their natural reproductive life cycle. Men who father children late in life fool human genetics into believing our natural reproductive cycle is later and thus the bodies of humans evolves a tendency to die at a later time. (or something like that. I can't get into a genetic science class nor can most of you). But.. it is an accepted theory. An official one. Future generations will thank guys like Gary. Anyways, somebody has to replace all the bloody fetuses you ladies wantonly kill. Might as well be gary. You fight for the right to kill fetuses and then moan because somebody has a happy laughing baby. Is that not satanic or what?
I just don't get why someone looking at OLD AGE IN THE FACE, is wanting to bring a child into the world. He will never be able to play ball or get physical ( as in sports and such) with this boy. This child is going to suffer because about the time this little one gets out of diapers, mommy is going to be diapering daddy! LOL

I don't think it's very wise to start having kids at 65. Now, don't get me wrong -- the love may be there -- but if you do the math, he will be 85 when the kid is 20. I don't think that's fair for the child to have a parent old enough to be their grandparent when their still college-age. People don't think about these things.
