Johnson announced in late June that she was nine weeks pregnant with twins. "Its not a surprise for me because this is what we planned for with the IVF Cycle, though hearing their hearts beat for time was the most ASTONISHING thing I have ever heard in my ENTIRE LIFE," the Tulsa Shock forward wrote. "For 15yrs Double-Doubles came with hardwork and dedication...now I've been blessed by God to have 'double doubles' for the rest of my life!"

The basketball pro’s gender reveal was made just two days after a judge in Arizona denied the annulment request filed by her estranged wife Griner. The couple married this past May, and split acrimoniously 28 days later — a day after Johnson revealed she was pregnant.

Griner, 24, claimed in her documents that Johnson had been communicating with an ex via text, and the marriage would not have proceeded had she known. Johnson told Us Weekly in a statement at the time that she was "truly really saddened" by the end of their marriage and was blindsided by the annulment.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, Johnson reacted to the judge's decision to deny the annulment request. "I am thankful the annulment was rejected because an act of marriage did occur," she told TMZ Sports. "Together we made life-changing decisions which impacted our lives collectively, and we both should be held responsible for those decisions."
