Hospitalized TV Mom Michelle Duggar: Baby's Going to Be OK

After being rushed to the hospital last weekend for gallbladder issues, Michelle Duggar, star of TLC's 18 Kids and Counting, says she is "feeling much better."
She and her husband Jim Bob Duggar offered fans an iPhone video update from the Arkansas hospital where she is currently recovering.
"The gallstone has kind of calmed down... blood pressure is still getting regulating, and the baby sounds good," she told fans. "So we're sort of waiting to see what happens."

Jim Bob says that they'll be at the hospital "for a few more days" to make sure her blood pressure keeps going down. He adds that his wife should still be able to carry the baby to full term.
"So far the baby is doing great," he says, "and we're so grateful to God.

Some of you are so judgemental. What right do you have to tell someone how many Children they should have.I Love the new Really show. That being said, I have herd 2 sides that Mrs.Dugger had her baby and just read that she did not have her baby. GOD BLESS HER! Can someone tell me what's happening
I am pround of mrs.Duggar for having tht many kids I have four and i struggle everyday and to have 19 and keep going I have much respect in her i Hope dearly tht her and tht baby do good

Leave th Duggars alone I think they are a very nice family yes 19 might be alot of kids but they are doing a great job raising there children. Don't judge them and NONE of these children need to be taken away. I hope all goes well and that baby and mom are fine
What's wrong with having as many as God gives you? I wish My husband and I had thought ahead more like these people did and then we could have had more children. I am 46 and I still love to have a houseful of children around me. Also, there children are very well behaved compared to most kids their age,they know how to care for 18+ and some can't keep one child in line long enough to go to the grocery store. Give em a break, they love their kids!

I find it interesting that Jim Bob has said he teaches and expects his kids to exhibit self-control at all times, but he seems incapable of keeping it in his pants.
you cannot decide for other people that they should or should not adopt or foster kids...that's something they have to decide...it's something that's either in your heart or it isn't...i am an adopted child and had fabulous parents, my best friend growing up was also adopted and her parents were not so wonderful at it--we both had siblings that were "natural" to our parents and my parents treated us as if we were both natural, her parents didn't--she was always the "adopted" child...so as you can see, some people just should not adopt...so don't just assume that because they want kids, adoption is the solution...don't go making other people's life choices for them--live your own life for yourself...and if you want the tax laws changed to stop tax credits for more kids, well call your representatives in congress and get it done, otherwise, let it go....as for welfare--the duggars have never been on welfare and the Bates family qualifies but refuses to accept it.
Someone said on here that they should stop giving welfare (or something along those lines) to pregnant women. I find that appalling! When I was pregnant with my first child I was young, only 21 (yes not as young as most, I know) and in college. I needed help and turned to AFDC (welfare). The moment I graduated and got a steady job I ended my AFDC assistance and paid every single cent back (like you're supposed to). Now I know a lot of people don't and some keep having children just to stay on the program and get more money, but if you end this for women like I was at the at that time of my life you are hurting more than "Helping". NOT all women abuse the system.
It wouldn't be a "communist" thing to make it financially appealing to have less children. The way I'm proposing it (take away tax credits and government aid for more than 2 biological children, while adopting or fostering children would still get aid/tax credits) wouldn't make it illegal to have more than 2 kids, just financially inadvisable. If people knew that it would be significantly more expensive to have more than 2 kids, they would have less kids. No one is forcing them not to have children or regulating the number of pregnancies or anything like that... people would still be able to choose, but they'd probably have to think long and hard about it first.

John...i wasn't aware that we were living in a communist country that limited the number of children we were allowed to have...in America we have the right to have as many kids as we want and to practice the religion of our choice...we also don't have birth control forced upon us .....speaking as a pro-choice/pro-birth control voter...it amazes me that anyone would actually try to force these things on people...this is a free country...if you want to live in a communist one..well i suggest you move...America is the land of the free....did you ever hear of couples who don't have kids? or can't have kids? did you ever think that maybe between plagues and war and famine and natural distasters around the world that G-d in this infinite wisdom does the math and it all comes out equal in the end? ...stop telling other people what to do and live your own life...don't want 19 kids? don't have 19 kids.
I use to think it was terrible her having so many children, until I sat down and watched the show. They are a terrific family, and I do not believe for one bit that any of those kids hate having so many brothers and sisters! There is so much love in the family, you can only tell by how they treat each other. HOWEVER, I think Mrs. Duggar, this may be GOD's way of saying enough is enough, your poor body is suffering. Irene, Your experience being a part of a large family is NOT what everyone else experiences! Being a part of a large family brought me nothing but love and great memories! Sure we fight like all siblings do, but I wouldn't want to have any other family but mine. Glad that Michelle and the baby are doing great. I love the Duggars and how they manage their family! Smart people to think about their life so carefully before the children came along. Other families should take notice and follow their example! Budgets are your friends! Helps the family not worry about money and just focus on being a family!
Christina in Ca, you are right in that is is no ones business how long you nurse your child. However, when someone has 18/19 kids then I believe they are abusing the environment in which we all live including your child. God did give us the ability to use restraint and common sense as well as procreate. I think they need to do more of the first two and less of the last. Love the ones they have and give us all a break.
