Jana Kramer was excited to Instagram her supermarket haul on June 1. “And so it begins. #babyfood,” the country star wrote alongside a photo of a conveyor belt loaded with jars of Earth’s Best.
But soon after posting the image, the mom of 4-month-old daughter Jolie was flooded with unsolicited advice.
“Make your own!!! Don’t buy jars. Yes they’re convenient but not as nutritious as mummy’s home made,” wrote one critic, while another explained, “So easy to make your own! Steam and puree pretty much any fruit or veggie. Great way to avoid pesky preservatives.”
The 32-year-old actress hit back the next day by posting a photo of a note she penned Instagram that has since gone viral. “Dear Mommy Shamers,” Kramer wrote. “Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child, or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”
In the caption for the picture, the “I Got the Boy” singer added: “I have been very open with pictures of my daughter and our journey because my true fans have been on my journey from day one and I want them to be a part of my new journey now. If you have negative comments about how I parent my child, keep it to yourself!”
On June 10, Kramer shared a new picture of her adorable infant dozing after a feeding. “Missing my little person so much right now,” she wrote. “It’s so hard to be away. I can’t wait to squeeze her tomorrow when I’m home!!!!”
Kramer married football player Mike Caussin in May 2015. Jolie is their first child together.
