Although Sandra Bullock and Jesse James finalized their divorce last month, a strong bond remains between James' daughter Sunny and Bullock's baby boy Louis.
In an email (acquired by TMZ) dated June 13, James' second ex-wife Janine Lindemulder described how her daughter Sunny, 6, missed Louis, whom Bullock adopted in January.
"Sunny talked about Louie [sic] yesterday," Lindemulder wrote. "She told me he doesn't like baths. She loves and missed her baby brother."
The email was submitted in court by lawyers for James as he and Lindemulder currently battle it out for custody of Sunny.
But in the June email, Lindemulder grants her ex-husband permission to move Sunny to Austin, Texas, where Bullock resides -- and Lindemulder says she'll relocate, too. "I know nothing of Austin but if that is where Sunny can have her mom and dad equally, I'm in," the former porn star writes.
She even urges James to try and mend things with Bullock. "I believe you are a good man and with all that has happened you are now much wiser," she says to James, whose five-year marriage to Bullock fell apart after he admitted affairs with several women. "If given the chance with your wife again, you would not screw it up," Lindemulder wrote.
In court on Monday, James, 41, confirmed that Bullock, 45, watched over Sunny during his rehab stint earlier this spring.
"I talked to her [Janine] on the phone before I went to rehab in Arizona," James said. "I let her know that she [Sunny] would be staying with her stepmother in Texas."
