Jessica Alba Talks About Her Stretch Marks

Jessica Alba is still suffering the consequences of having a baby -- and she loves it!

In the February issue of Self, the mother to 18-month-old daughter Honor admits that she has learned to love her stretch marks.

"Pregnancy was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had," the actress, 28, says. "So I’ll take the stretch marks. I’ll take the sagging boobs. I’ll take the cellulite I can never get rid of."

Alba, who stars in the upcoming romantic comedy Valentine's Day (out Feb. 12), says she doesn't see those new attributes as flaws.

"If you walk around with your head held high and you’re happy and positive, then all that other stuff is irrelevant," she says. "Confidence is number one."

But when things do get to her, she says her daughter -- with hubby Cash Warren -- fixes all.

"Honor is the best cure for stress," she tells Self. "When I spend time with her, I get instant perspective. I can be hard on myself if I don’t do everything perfectly. But now that I have her, there’s no time for that. I want to teach her that you can learn from your mistakes, and if you keep moving and stay positive and loving, everything will work out."

When looking to the future, she also reveals that she wants to have more children.

Says Alba: "I want to be able to allow Honor and my other kids, who I hope to be blessed with in the future, to maintain their innocence for as long as possible."

For many years, I suffer from lack of confidence because of my skin appearance. I had spots, scars, stretch marks, bruises, and untoned skin. I had to live with the fact that I was brutally beaten up by acne acne and it really show. I was introduced to Made from Earth by magazine advertisements. For a very small amount, it was really pricey, but I wanted to desperately get rid of these flaws. I hated the thought of spending money, but when I applied the Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum onto my skin and face area, it wasn't what I had expected it at all. The firming serum doesn't leave any greasy or oily residues on face or skin. Made from Earth claimed that you would see the results in three weeks, and they were right!! I applied it to my face and skin two times a day, everyday...like they said, and I saw the difference. The changes were dramatic, and I love it. My skin tone are now balanced, my spots, scars, and bruises have reeduced in appearances. Also, the Aloe Vera Skin Treatment works well with stretch mark. I even used it before, during, and after the pregnancy.

I'm pregnant now and one morning my husband says, "you should really make sure you put that cocoa butter all the way on the sides." I'm like "what?!?" and yes, sure enough, there were stretch marks radiatiing from my ribcage toward my belly, all the way around my front. It sort of looked like I got clawed by a tiger with about 40 toes, and each vertical mark was maybe 4 inches long. I went online that same day and bought the Dr Max Powers Stretch Mark Treatment, and applied it fatihfully several times a day to these new stretch marks for at least a week (now I remember only 2-3X/day). Now, about 4 weeks later, there is literally nothing there. I'm choosing to buy this Max Powers Stretch Mark cream since it seems like the best price per ounce, and if I notice new marks, I want to be well-armed to treat them as soon as possible. Dr Max Powers does say their product works best on new marks, and I can certainly vouch for its effectiveness in my case. I've also been continuing to use cocoa butter cream mixed with pure vitamin E oil from the healthfood store ($5 for a small vial). After a friend's doctor warned her not to use Vitamin E oil after varicose vein surgery, as the scars would heal too rapidly, I've been a believer in its powers.

i bet she'd still look good even if she had 8 kids. she's a celebrity, she has to look good, all celebrity moms look thin after they have kids, it's their job, there's no need to rag on her for it

Oh Please she's only had one child at age 26 come back after having 3 or 4 more at 35 or 40 and see how happy she is with her body she's still a vain starlet it's not like she's this generations Patricia Neal who nearly had 6 children by age 39 though she'd aborted her first pregnancy or Joanne Woodward who nearly had 4 by age 35 though she miscarried her first and they're also different in another way being they're both Oscar winning actresses something ms Alba will probably never be
