Say cheese! Derick Dillard is already showing off his baby-to-be — the expectant dad shared a picture of pregnant wife Jill Duggar‘s sonogram on Thursday, Nov. 20.
“A week before Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for our baby boy! Awesome to think his heart has already beat about 26,784,000 times! Psalm 139:13-18,” Dillard, 25, wrote on the amazing photo which visibly shows off his future child.
“I was thinking that maybe we should take a pregnancy test,” she recalled, adding that her first two test were negative. “We were really surprised when we got that [third] positive test, but of course we were really excited. I think we would have even been less surprised had it come back positive on one of the first tests.”
The couple didn’t hesitate to share their exciting news ASAP, and revealed they were expecting just 60 days after their wedding — their wedding night, in fact, marked their first evening ever spent alone, per the Duggar family rules. “We really didn’t know how long we’d be able to keep it a secret with all of our friends,” she told Us. “We wanted to tell them.”
Fans of the TLC show were surprised the religious duo revealed their pregnancy so early on as well. “Believing that life begins at conception and that every life is precious no matter how young, we would — even if there were to be a miscarriage — we would still want that child to be recognized,” Jill previously told Us. “So it was something that we thought about and went forward with.”
