Hudson, 31, has said it's always been tough to give her son a haircut.
"He won't let me cut it," she said in 2007. "I said, 'We're gonna have to cut your hair...' and he goes, 'Yeah mom... I wanna mohawk!' I was like, 'I can't.'"

Hudson blamed Ryder's father, Robinson, 43, who is a member of the Black Crowes. "I think it's a daddy thing," she said. "His daddy's got long hair so he loves his long hair."

29YAY! He looks like a boy now! While I'd hardly call the new cut a "buzzcut," I would definetely say it's a BIIIGGG improvement!!
He's a lot cuter now, the shorter hair suits him. He looks healthier, cleaner, and it suits his face to have shorter hair. Good looking little chap now. He was always cute, now just cuter.
Kate Hudson blames his Dad for having long hair, but hasn't she noticed that she's got long hair, too? Duh:)
oh, i love his hair long he looked so cute. he wouldn't have been bullied my cousin is 12 and has long hair and the girls in his school are crazy for him, his never been bullied a day in his life, a girl nearlly cried when he said he cut his hair (don't ask me why i just hear the stories, maybe she was desperate) but still he looked so cute, boys up to the age of 8 with long hair are adorable, you might want to cut it when he gets older, but where's the rule book long hair is just for girls
My 2 3/4 year old son has never had anything but his bangs cut. He has gorgeous dark, curly, long hair. Is he called a girl even when he's got on the most boyish clothes imaginable? Yes. Because Americans are so rigid about the length of boys' hair. Guess what? He was called a girl from the day he was born and had NO hair or very short hair because he's a beautiful child. Another American problem. If a child is cute, it must be a girl. If not, it must be a boy. Open your minds people! Little girls are allowed to wear pants now (not so common even when I was a child). Why can't boys have long hair?!!
the kids were most likelymaking fun of him. its about time he got a boys haircut. He looks great
Now he looks like a boy. Very cute! Thanks Kate! Your fans are much happier now. You look great!
FINALLY!!!!!!
And... and I'm... I'm real. I'm a real boy! LOL
IT'S A BOY! Well that is a surprise because I thought it was a girl all this time. Looks so much better and neater and easier.
it was about TIME he looks like a normal boy now
Finally, now he looks like a boy not a little girl!
he looks like a boy...yes yes!
He looks adorable and remember just because his mom's a celebrity he isn't! Truthfully young children of celebrities should be left alone it's kind of sick how the tabloids and paparazzi follow children of famous stars.
She is right boys want hair like daddy's. if dads is long they want it long, if he is clean shaved then they want theirs shaved off. It is normal. He looked adorable with the long hair and adorable now. Nothing is wrong with a boy having long hair
i think he looks precious either way...it's cute that he wanted to have long hair like his daddy, thats sweet. also he reminded me of like a little Tarzan, in a good way!
yay!now you can tell he's a boy! he isn't a rock star!
why are people so hung up on what length a boy's hair is "supposed " to be, or what type of clothes a girl is "supposed" to wear? if the kid feels ok about it, it's really no one else's business. soon enough peer pressure will clamp down and they'll want to look just like everyone else.
He looks great with his new Haircut!
Ohh my goodness..He now looks like a handsome little boy..The long hair really washed his good looks out..Good looking litle boy..I sure it will be much easier for his parents to handle instead if looking all knotted up..Good job..(Smile)
