What's that? Why, the bells of the town crier! Cheers could still be heard all over the world, as Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, in Paddington, London on Saturday, May 2. Her Royal Highness, Princess of Cambridge, now joins big brother Prince George, and is the fourth in line for the British throne. Us Weekly was outside St. Mary's Hospital for the historic moment, which included several picture-perfect highlights!

1. She's Here!
As many were still asleep in the States, Kensington Palace officially announced that Middleton gave birth to the couple's second child after just a short time in labor. She arrived at 8:43 a.m., weighing in at 8lbs., and 3oz. Immediately, spectators outside St. Mary's Hospital began to celebrate.

2. Official Announcement
Across town, per tradition, an easel was placed outside of Buckingham Palace. The birth notice was signed and framed by the medical staff at St. Mary's Hospital, and will be displayed for 24 hours. Back in Lindo Wing, meanwhile, the parents shared "a private moment" with their little girl. "[They're] happy," a source told Us. "Relaxed."

3. Prince George Cuteness
The anticipation! Prince William left Lindo Wing at 3:53 p.m. and returned at 4:14 p.m. with his 21-month-old baby boy in tow. Prince George (what a doll!) received a very warm welcome from the crowd outside — and he even waved back! To top it off, the father-son duo looked adorable in matching blue tops.

4. That Hair (and Dress!)
She can do no wrong! Just 10 hours after giving birth, Kate emerged from St. Mary's Hospital with Prince William by her side. The Duchess of Cambridge held on tight to her beautiful newborn daughter, who was bundled up in a white blanket. With every brunette lock perfectly in place, Middleton wowed in a buttercup-printed Jenny Packham floral dress and nude heels.

5. Practice Makes Perfect!
Prince William struggled with Prince George's car seat after his birth in 2013 — but not this time! Just moments after debuting his baby girl, the royal quickly placed her car seat with no trouble at all. "Two out of two!" he joked to reporters. Middleton sat in the backseat with the newborn and Prince William drove as they headed back home to Kensington Palace.
