Forget coal: It's cuddles and cookies for this one! Kelly Clarkson posted an adorable Instagram photo of her baby girl River Rose on Monday, Dec. 22, chilling with Santa for the first time ever.

"River Rose hangin' with Santa Claus for the first time!" Clarkson, 32, wrote of her daughter with husband Brandon Blackstock. "She LOVED him ha!"

In the photo, Clarkson's 6-month baby girl wears a hilarious onesie that reads "I drink until I pass out," along with a candy cane-patterned headpiece in the shape of reindeer antlers. Baby River beams on Santa's lap as she curls her chubby legs and tiny toes up in a seated position.

The Clarkson-Blackstock household, it seems, has been getting into the holiday spirit this season. The American Idol winner shared another photo this past weekend of baby River joining her famous mom backstage at Clarkson's Miracle on Broadway show in Nashville.

At the press event leading up to the charity performance, Clarkson spoke about how motherhood has changed her for the better. "I was single for so long. Especially in this industry where everything is so egocentric, but having her opened up my eyes," Clarkson gushed, adding that it made her want to be more charitable.

"We grew up in a duplex and a trailer," the Texas native reflected. "We grew up working very hard and it's always our thing to make sure our kids… we don't wanna punish them for being born into a family that can provide for them, but we wanna make sure that they are a part of things like this from the get go."

Clarkson expressed her hopes that River — and other privileged kids — would be raised to help those in need. "You can't grow up in your own little world. There are people in need," Clarkson mused, while getting teary-eyed. "She needs to know how lucky she is… You talk about River and I just go mushy! I used to be more badass."
