Sad news for actor Kelsey Grammer and his girlfriend, Kayte Walsh.
On Saturday, Grammer, 55, and Walsh, 29, confirmed she had suffered a miscarriage.
"We lost our unborn child about six weeks ago," the couple tells UsMagazine.com in a statement. "We would like to thank all of those who expressed kindness and concern but we needed a little time to heal, time to find some solace before we publicly acknowledged our loss," the statement continued.
Grammer and Walsh, said to have been together since July, confirmed news of their pregnancy in August after her father spilled the beans to the U.K. Daily Mail.
"It's great news and we are very pleased for them both," Alan Walsh told the British paper at the time of his daughter, a flight attendant.
Grammer filed for divorce from his third wife, 41-year-old former Playboy model Camille Donatacci, in July after 13 years of marriage. They are parents to daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5. Grammer also has two adult children from previous relationships.
Of Grammer's latest romance, Walsh's father told the Daily Mail, "I think they met in New York socially because she works for Virgin Airways and often stops over in America. The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are — they have just hit it off together."
